Baobab Alley & Epic MADAGASCAR Photography Part 1
We made it to the Allée des Baobabs!! This is a very famous landscape photography location and an image that defines a nation.
On route to the far west coast we stopped first in a river side town called Miandrivazo. Here there is a great eco adventure available taking a Pirogua out on the river with a local guide. As it's our mission to get some community tourism initiatives on camera with Mora Travel we all thought this would be a great start. It was and turned out great on camera :) I hope you like that segment of the video.
Then down to the famed Baobab Alley and a somewhat abrupt cut to the Vlog. I realized in post processing (and in the video which you'll see in part 2) that the Vlog was getting really really long and it was better to break it up into two.
So... there is a bit of a BONUS VLOG dropping TOMORROW!!! That's where we see our first LEMURS and even a FOSSA!!!
Shout out to our local tour operator partner Mora Travel. They've been great assisting with this journey. Here's their direct contact moratravel.com/ for more info.
As always thanks for watching and let us know your thoughts on Madagascar.

Mate, it was absolutely incredible... not had time to even rate my shots yet, never mind edit and post them... back at work and totally full on. Will have time this weekend and bang some on Instagram so will let you know. Halong bay and Hanoi were all I hoped and so much more. Can’t wait to go back and see more.... Happy trails mate and stay safe!! Cheers Jase

Amazing!
These trees look like out of this world. I agree with you the winning photo is the one of the gentleman taking the cart.
Very nice. Take care of you and Nelli.

Haha no way when my family went to Morandava we stayed at Chez Maggie as well! Decent accomodation, nice way directly onto the beach (IF YOU GO ON THE BEACH, DO NOT SWIM IN THE LAGOON AREA BEFORE THE ACTUAL BEACH. THAT ARE IS A PUBLIC TOILET. I'm selling this country to you, huh?), subpar food to be honest. We really enjoyed the food at this place called the Baobab cafe or something, just down the road. Back in the day there was this restaurant called Couleur Cafe which was the bomb. Amazing food, but the freakin thing was basically harrassed into leaving by phony tax collectors. Absolute shame.
Nice one!
Dude - looks like such an incredible adventure. Love this! I really like the stills mixed in with the video. The Baobab with the wheelbarrow was cool but the one with Nellie is the winner though. :)

Amazing
I'm liking this series bro!! Your channel is so varied now, it's excellent. Not much drone stuff? (I'm editing pics so may have looked away at wrong time) Really liking Nellie being involved! I need to get my Mrs involved in my vlogs.
All your gear and all that water 😳 i am following you this trip for sure.

They’re not. But we didn’t fall in :)
Cool video! We are going there this year in December and we are not sure if our zoom lens 18-55mm will be wide enough (we have a Fuji xt3) or if we should get an ultra wide lens (ie rokinon 12mm 2.0), on top a of a tele 55-200mm, seems too much gear. Which wide lens did you use for your canon for the baobab alley? Thank you!
@gregsnell

I think the 18-55 should be fine. I had the 16-35 and it worked.
WOW! That wheel barrow shot is a definite winner!! Well done Greg!
Awesome
Wicked video Greg, those Baobab trees are amazing to photograph, I could easily waste a hundred shots at least on them, are you allowed to fly drones there?
@gregsnell

Thanks!! Me too :) No sadly no drones. Highly restricted in Madagascar.
Is drone footage allowed at Baobab avenue ?
What month did you visit Madagascar
