Banks of The Dee

Музыка

A Cotswold Morris tune from the village of Leafield in Oxfordshire (formally known as Fieldtown). The title appears in Henry Robson's list of popular Northumbrian song and dance tunes, which he published c. 1800. Apparently the melody was derived from an air and country dance called “New Langolee”, in the 1780 publications of Thomas Skillern and Charles and Samuel Thompson.
