Thanks for the video. My son in law and I spent Labor Day weekend doing the same install to my 2019 2500. Spent 8 hours doing a tag team on it and then 4 more hours on Monday fixing a fuel leak. First time tearing apart a Cummins and have to admit was not a whole lot of fun. Very little was easy to get to. We learned a lot doing it however. From the video looks like you left off the throttle body heat shield? Assume this was on purpose? Absolutely correct that the 2019 has variations as compared to the Banks documentation.. I am still looking for my banjo bolt. The good news is that the truck still runs and does not leak so must have done something right. I had already done the cold air intake so look forward to getting a good test run pulling my 5th wheel rv as that’s primarily what I use the truck for. Happy to hear I was not the only one that was challenged.. not sure I believe the folks that say the install was a breeze. Must have not been installing on a 5th gen Ram.

It was a fun project I'm sure. I do not have a throttle body due to being deleted and having the EGR removed. I was once a long time ago an ASE certified mechanic at a Mercedes repair facility(wont go into that) so I know what its like to work in tight and cramped areas. My best advice is that if it was hard to come off it's a sure bet that it'll almost be impossible to go back on. So if you need to remove a few more things to aid in component removal then I would do that. Makes life easy and only adds a few minutes to a job.

@@gillpecceuservices thanks. It’s all good. Son in law has a 2008 Ram and has ordered the same thing for his which by the way looks like a piece of cake with a lot less under the hood to get in the way. So in a few weeks we get to do again. Will be a lot easier the second time. 😅

If you break your fuel rail pressure sensor because of #6 injector line dont fret go to Prosource Diesel get it for $99 shipped in 2 days. Ask me how i know😅

Thank you for sharing your built. I just purchased my very first Ram diesel which is 2023 Ram 3500 High Output diesel. What is your main reason or purpose for installing this on your Ram? I have seen people installing this in the past due to a problem caused by the original parts therefore, Banks came up with this solution. Do you think the 2023 model year need this upgrade or just an option for mileage increase and such? Thank you in advance.

I believe that the new model ram trucks also have the same problem. Either way this upgrade is well worth the money and time. You can feel a difference right away.

the bolt on the grid heater is known to fall off and into the engine. could be a 30,000 repair. i am going to install one just to have piece of mind

After having it in for a while what are your thoughts? Do you like it? Do you notice a difference and, if so, do you think that difference was worth the money?

I absolutely LOVE it. I notice a difference with throttle response. I notice I had to push the pedal a little less to get the same response and power as before. That also translated into 1.5 - 2 MPG better fuel milage. I'm just at about 20 mpg unloaded (9k lbs truck weight). It is well worth the money I believe. Aloha.

The best and easiest place to get a bypass oil filter system is Amsoil. I unfortunately dont have a video for that install.

What kit did you use for bypass filter?

the Amsoil kit. It needs a little modifying but it's easy.

You in cold temps? How’s it start up in the cold 🥶?

The Banks Monster Ram I believe won't void Warranty. It has all provisions for the emission system.

I see you also have the Banks CAI, did you replace the stock boost tubes as well?

I wanted to replace them but ran out of funds this round. It is on my list. The Banks CAI and the monster ram gained me 1.5 mpg+.

Yes. Just recently I hit my goal of getting 20MPG....I also have the boost tubes on the way currently.

@@gillpecceuservicesI just installed the boost tubes and intake horn and the new ram air filter. Definitely a huge task. The boost tubes even gave a bit of a challenge. Good luck with the install.
