As a lifetime WA resident and hunter in my 40's..... I am so pleased to see you partnered with Sportsmen's Alliance! I'm a proud donor for several years now. WA Govt is actively trying to end hunting on our beautiful state. All my kids hunt deer and ducks. Samong is a celebrity in my home.

The average kid spends almost triple the amount of time inside compared to outside. That’s statistics from early 90’s to 2020.

Nice day out fishing. I lived in Oregon when i was a kid and used to catch trout on worms. Didn't know about powerbait until i was an adult.

I've fished in that very same spot several times over the years, haven't been able to make it out this year unfortunately! Glad to see a video from you!😀

Thanks for sharing! Love winter trout fishing on days like that! Have you tried putting some garlic scent on the power bait? I tend to get more hook ups when I do. Anyways have a great trip to Kansas!

I had the same issue with light bites from trout. I usually use a 1/4 oz weight. Keep the light looser to allow the fish to take & swallow. Just watch the line to see if it's taking it.

It’s bout time for a fishing video.

Great content as always. One cheap and great addition to the tacoma that I bought was the pop n lock aka power lock for tailgate. Super easy install and never having to wonder if you locked your tailgate or not. Its about $100 or so and an hour install time.

You should come a little north of Kansas and jump in the pit with us and shoot some snows !!

Really enjoy very chill videos and super willing to share what's been successful for you, it up. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky enough to do the turkey hunt. Keep sharing your trips with us.

Samong do you have a ccw license? Every state is different but in Cali your allow to conceal carry whenever your out fishing or hunting cause your always out alone.

Hey just wanted to pass on a trick for keeping that soft power bait on your hook. I mash it up with some fly tieing yarn, just enough to give it some fiber and then put it on your hook, the only problem is its hard to get off!

Try some floating mice tails for bait...much more efficient and last longer than dough...my preferred color is the orange one

I have a question I'm just curious. I've watched all your videosthe areas where you fish like this last video. Do you apply for white tail there? It looks like good habitat. Just rolling hills different than many other areas for white tail but just curious

Familiar spot.

Lifes a learning curve. Been fishing with powerbait for years. Use 3/8 oz slip sinker not the 1/2 oz. Dont have yiur rob pointed so high in the air, more likw 45 to 60 degree angle. After 3 min or so leave rod on holder and turn reel 3 turns. That moves the bait and makes the fish think it better eat it. Also kerp your rods within 20 ft of each other. Its to hard to watch rods that are to far apart.

I normally use single small hook.

I imagine there are lighters stashed in packs and the truck now. My old man would have cooked the fish whole after dredging it in seasoned cornmeal. Perhaps it reminds of my childhood but that's how I like it also.

Should have made some fried rice wit that cold rice 👊 but the trout and eggs looks quite good 👍

Great video 👍. I’ve had better luck with the premade power bait eggs that come in strands than the dough and normally I can use the same eggs multiple times.

Might as well have taken an extra few minutes to fry up that rice too so you wouldn’t be eating that cold, making it even a more satisfying meal. Looked delicious either way, good stuff man!
