Bangladesh: Living in the Sundarbans | SLICE
The Sundarbans mangrove is an immense coastal forest located in the bay of Bengal. The ecosystem of the Sundarbans is very rich and diverse, but it is threatened because of human activities. The population living there is working to protect the mangrove forest and to live in harmony with their environment. They also have to live along with the biggest predator of the mangrove: the Bengali tiger.

We had another oldest mangrove forest named "Chokoria Sundarban" in east south part of Bangladesch. It had been completely destroyed by Shrimp cultivation by farmers with subsidiary of World Bank

Yeah but f you, money 💰 🤑 💸 lol sorry, it is sad as hell. God bless.
I stumbled upon this channel while browsing and is one of best channels. Also, sometimes its surprising how great these videos are, which makes me wonder who runs the channel with such content at such low subscribers. Much appreciated.

Agree! So well done 👍
Great doco and thank you. I'm currently reading " _Gun Island_ " by Amitav Ghosh, set in the Sundarbans and highlighting the perils that the locals are facing, especially in relation to the rapidly changing environment. Ghosh is a wonderful storyteller and I recommend his book to anyone interested in the Sundarbans, life in India and the forces of change we are all facing. Cheers from Sydney - Dave
Hopefully I can visit the sundarbans this time when I go to bd again. Awesome video
Slice videos so good I wish it was longer lol
Beautiful documentary. ❤️
The cinematography is next level. great job
I binged this entire channel in a couple days 😃 Please make longer docs! I love the "slices of life" shorts but I always end up wanting to watch more!!
I wont make a shady comment about the content of documentary because their situation is not lesser than those with other places. But however by creating this kind of documentaries, people may however enlightend and maybe realize something. Thank you Slice.

There is a difference between those people who fish for their food, whose ancestors have been doing it for long time, and those who are fishing for commercial use and sale. The guy in the video talks about how there are more of the commercial fishermen now

They got cattle and crop. These people sell the fish. The reason why there isn't any fish I'd because of guys like him taking everything out of the river. + the pollution starting to affect those water systems. No bueno
really beautiful forest......................
Beautiful documentary, incredible sad how we humans are destroying our beautiful Earth and sentient creatures.
Awesome 💖 Take care 🙏

Fascinating how this life style hasn’t changed since ancient times as I remember in AC odyssey there was an entire fishing village
Kind of curious how they calculated how much surface area a tiger needed to survive. Does that mean if it only had 99 km^2 it wouldn’t survive?
Beautiful Bangladesh
Very Very nice video.

Bangladesh ♥ সুন্দরবন ♥
I love watching these documentaries, but I find myself becoming more and more sad as I'm seeing all around the world, just how toxic, human existence is to mother 🌍 We are such selfish creatures.. We need to focus more on healing the land and waters, and less on procreating and industrialization..Seems that for every initiative to achieve that goal, there are triple that amount springing up to undo it..😔

its also kind of weird how you make the channel seem like its original content or you had something to do with producing it and many comments seem to think its your original content when infact its not.
Have book by Emilio Salgari about place, fiction but very interesting
The air pollution there is unreal. Constant haze. Similar to what I experienced living in Seoul but...looks worse
We humans need to realize how to be sustainable especially when we are dwelling into endangered species land shame really when we are not even an endangered species

You using a cast net to fish they themselves depleted the fish population!
Don't catch those tiny fish let them grow so in the future there will be a fish. You say there's no more fish yes there will be no fish the way you treat the fish even you eat the little one let them grow and let them produces more
odd no baby snaol crab bugs
Bangladesh’s biggest problem is overpopulation. Millions of people living on a limited piece of land. Of course the ecosystem is going to suffer and be destroyed. They are destroying the land’s natural resources. And there will be disastrous consequences

The entire country of Bangladesh just doesn't make any sense to me
It's the greed of some, who by shrimp farming destroyed the local ecosystem. Thousands have lost their generation old living, land, fresh water and many became homeless. The culprits are also close to the power so there is little hope for better.

people stop living in this mangrove delta go live in chittagong or live near kaptai lake youll get tones of fish and resources
ONE SOLUTION SAVE HUMAN Educate people about protect environment and deforestation. Reduce population or have 1 children or 2 is max. Eat less, use less water and plant more trees 🌲stop polluted water.
The guy is suffering from bells pelsy
5:05 Please tell me that is not hair growing from his ears? WTF
The whole fish catch by chinese
yeah well they eating the fucking fry
You mass with natch really you will pay the heavy price and your future family will be suffering because we at the present are all selfish people just thinking of our self for now and not for the future. The saying is be gready and all the family will pay the heavy price your children and there family suffering for all has STARTED STOP NOW AND THINK HARD NOW HOW TO HELP THE NATURE OR R. I. P. ITS TO LATE.
i wish no humans lived there, we are so invasive. Sundarban images from satellite now just shows deforestation. all the tigers are cruelly killed in bangladesh side unlike the safer protected region of Sundarbans in West Bengal
