1. SADIA’S HOUSE
🇵🇰 APRICOT KERNEL SEED SOUP: Add water to the pot, smash the apricot kernels and add into the pot with add salt, and stir. Prepare the dough by adding salt to wheat flour, then mixing it with chicken eggs. Knead the dough and cut it into small short strings. Add the noodles to the soup pot and cook for 7 mins.
🇵🇰 DRIED APRICOT DAWDO SOUP: Add dried apricots to hot water and grounded dough. Cook for 15 minutes.
🇵🇰 GUR-E-GIALING: Make the batter with flour, eggs, water, and apricot oil. Add local butter to the hot pan, and use a piece of dough to spread it all over the pan. Pour the batter in the pan, and flip it a couple of times to cook both sides of the pancake.

2. HUNZA FOOD PAVILION
ADDRESS: Baltit Fort Road, Near Polo Ground, Karimabad Hunza
🇵🇰CHAPSURO: Knead the wheat dough into a round-shape. Add the filling mixture made with local chicken meat, coriander, mint, onion, green chilies, salt, and saffron. Cover it with another layer of dough then cook it in a hot pan. When it’s ready, cut it into small pieces and serve with panir (goat cheese).
🇵🇰MULIDA: Make chapati bread and tear it into little pieces. Add water to a pot, and add dried cow cheese, dried mint, salt, coriander, onions, green chilies, and chapati. Serve with apricot oil.
🇵🇰GIR GIR ALOO: Add the paste made from coriander, mint, and green chilies in a pot. Stir-fry it well. Add masala, water, brown lentil, salt, and potatoes. Cook for 20 minutes.
💸PRICE: Chapsuro + Gir gir aloo - 350 PKR / $1.88 each | Mulida - 200 PKR / $1.07

3. NASIRA’S FAMILY HOUSE
🇵🇰CHEESE CHAPATI: Make paste from cottage cow cheese, coriander, green onions, walnuts, salt and a little of milk. Make chapati and spread the paste on it. Serve with apricot oil.
🇵🇰 BUCKWHEAT PANCAKES: Wipe pan with a piece of onion, add buckwheat batter in the pan and cook till it's done.
🇵🇰MANTU: Make dough from wheatflour. Make filling using minced chicken, coriander, green onions, and green chilies and ground red chilies. Wrap the dough around the filling and steam them for 15 minutes. Apply olive oil before steaming.
🇵🇰CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP: Add olive oil in the pot placed on the stove. Add some chopped onions, ground ginger and garlic. Add minced chicken, ginger, salt, one litre of water, green onions and coriander in the pot. On the other side, roll the wheat flour to make noodles. Add the noodles in the pot.

Lavomit Lepcha in Hunza the old generation can't speak English but rest our literacy rate is 100 % despite of living in the mountains ,we are blessed Alhumduliallah...

they have a 95% literacy rate and it’s common to speak 3-4 languages there. There are two local languages that were separated by valleys, the Urdu, then English.

I am a dutch citizen, who lived my life equally between Europe, Asia and the USA. I visited Pakistan in the early 1980ies. Amazing country,very hospitable people and stunning landscapes. I mostly loved Schwab and after especially the Hunza valley. I was one of the early visitors and the town was small and not touristic at that time. An overall wonderful experience in a magical setting.
I am from Karim Abad, Hunza, Gilgit Baltistan and we are proud Pakistanis!

Skardu another valley in same region is 10x more Beautiful then this and if you love lush green fields and Mountains then Swat valley and Azad Kashmir region is heavenly as Switzerland but with not that infrastructure(Infrastructure is under development). Pakistan is full of beautiful places i hope my country will also flourished with tourist one day.

Hunza is known for its magical glacial water known as Hunza water, an Hungarian scientists did 28 years of research and concluded that the water in Hunza contains special kind of ancient bacteria and that bacteria is a factor of the longevity of the people there

Gotta say that I love Islamic and Middle Eastern cuisine. So varied and vibrant and down to earth. Sonny bringing all of us to remote villages as well as city streets of so many countries and cultures is truly a blessing. This is my favourite after Uzbekistan series. This little mountain village is like a hidden gem. I really will go there if I ever visit Pakistan.

I just wish one day I could visit these mountains.. Although I have moved to Canada and here we have similar places in plenty. But the authenticity and history of Pakistan mountains are no match.. I wish we were one nation…🤝

Thankfully our mountains still have a lot of their original culture of their people. You should visit some day

true say, I haven't eaten anything my grandmother made for nearly 30yrs, but I still remember her dishes vividly, and can still taste them. extra fat chapattis, completely drenched in ghee!!! drenched is an understatement. her spinach curry was 20 levels above any spinach curry anywhere.

@@Winterdreamed no. That's incorrect. I'm a cat lover from Lahore and I've volunteered for an animal welfare society. People are generally cruel to street animals. They take all their anger out on them. May Allah curse those people. It's only in this part of Pakistan that they are treated kindly. I think the fresh mountain air just makes everyone kinder.
I can't tell you how much I love u for everything you do Sunny. So this place is dope and you guys shot it, directed it and hosted it superbly. I love this place and has inspired me in many ways in terms of diet and living habits. Hey, also thanks for bringing this part of the world on our mobile phones. Pak is very diverse than majority of people think. AJK, Punjab & Sindh are closer to Indian culture while Balochistan & kpk share cultural similarities with Afg & Iran and Northern most people share Central Asian cultures. so it all makes the cultural differences very much distinct

This whole series of pakistan 🇵🇰 is staged to change "TERRORIST AND EXTREMIST RELIGIOUS" image of pakistan. ( Heavily Paid by Pakistans Government) But reality of pakistan is completely different. "DONT ALWAYS TRUST WHAT YOU SEE" "EVEN SALT LOOKS LIKE SUGAR"

Even if an Indian person gets a visa to visit Pakistan, they can't visit AJK and GB because their dumb@$$ government lays claim to these parts. Until GB is incorporated into Pak fully, it will stay off limits to Indians. Besides its a huge risk to let Indians come to Pakistan. Remember Kulbushan Yadav?

@@stonespider Yes there is internet access and youtube access in Afghanistan. But as far as I know, those people who make youtube videos in Afghanistan cannot monetise their videos because USA has sanctioned the whole country.
I am an Indian, my boyfriend is from Hunza, Pakistan . They are so nice and boys are so handsome. ❤❤❤ his mom used to send me apricot jam , bread and all , she passed away last year😢. Lots of love
