Exactly our country started the path of prosperity through agriculture at first, then industry. A miraculous achievement we acquired in agriculture not only by poor farmers, also by our very patriotic agriculture scientists. This tiny country now produces sufficient food for a huge population of 170m. After independence, we never would face bankruptcy, because by the exchange of starvation, we returned our debt in proper time. Patriotism is not to love area or border of a country, also to love the general people. From a modern country, Pakistan changed to a fanatic country. For that’s why Pakistan can’t earn foreign currency from tourism.Otherwise Pakistan is a beautiful country to travel. Pakistan is going to be poorer by other two causes, two satisfy army and to recognise USA as their 2nd God. Pakistan army recognise their people as slave. Anyway, certainly would overcome her problems very soon, it’s our heartiest prediction. I am from Dhaka Bangladesh, and I born in the then East Pakistan.

Bangladesh military spending per year is higher than Pakistan. Google it. Salaries in Bangladesh is higher, that's why. Also, Bangladesh GDP got richer bcz women worked in the garments sector, which earns billions of dollars. Pakistani women are not in the work force as much as Bangladeshis. Military spending had nothing to do with it.

I was born in erstwhile East Pakistan & I am very glad to know that Bangladesh is far ahead of Pakistan's economy. In Sha Allah Pakistan will also follow suit. Pakistan's economy is quite promising provided political stability is maintained. The bottleneck of 2.5% growth in population has to be curtailed.

Actually it was chor nawaz era, check his(adbul rehman) videos regarding pak textile industries, nawaz turn our cotton crop to sugar crop, didn't allot new gas field license. Which made us gas importer and over burden our import bill & result in more dollar shortage.

If you have very little or no knowledge of economy, don't talk about it. Bangladesh has overtaken Pakistan in terms of nominal GDP in Dollar terms. But its isn't anyway three times than Pakistan. BD economy size is 450 billion USD while PAK has 360 billion USD. The metric of measurement is nominal GDP. There is another but more practical metric of GDP measurement called GDP PPP which is GDP in purchasing power parity. It adjusts GDP with Dollar values of respective currencies. In that equation Pakistan GDP PPP is 1.6 trillion USD and BD is around 1.4 trillion USD. BD currency is 2.75 higher in value than PAK rupee. So even the volume of PAK economy is more than twice of Bangladesh, in Dollar term it is less than the economy of BD. These statistics are only a stupid measure of economic size which no one should bother about much. In the next 10 years Pakistan is going to be a top economy of West Asia. Only we have to make sure a good governance in charge of this country.
