Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) International Departures Walk [4K]

This walk 4K takes us through Suvarnabhumi Airport which is the largest of two international airports in Bangkok, Thailand. I walk my way over to the gate where my flight on EVA Air to Taipei was departing from, and once in Taipei I then connected to my flight back home to Toronto. I recorded this back on February 7th and the flight was scheduled to depart 12:10 pm. Over 60 million passengers pass through this airport every year although there will certainly be a lot less this year thanks to the Coronavirus/Covid-19. Most international travel was still in full effect when this was recorded although the airport was a bit less crowded than usual and I didn't notice any extra health screening measures in place. I found that a bit surprising since at the time Bangkok was believed to be one of the most at risk cities due the high frequency of travelers from China where the virus originated.
Recorded with a DJI Osmo Pocket in 4K at 60 FPS.

Great video, I lived in Thailand during the late 00's....have many a memory walking through this airport and also the old Don Meung. I always shed a tear leaving the land of smiles and cherish the time I spent there .... You can't ever understand till you've been there...

Honestly bro i felt that i’m beside u during ur walk! Miss this airport like anything! There was a time when this airport was a common place for me as i was a frequent traveller. The lady greeting and giving flight infos in Thai and then English language made me damn nostalgic! Although when i was a regular passenger there,i never concentrated on that voice!

I have a love/hate relationship with this airport. On the one hand, it's stuffy and humid inside except in the airline lounges and at the boarding gates. But it's also a great departure point for really good value airfares. Thanks for your vid. It's making me look forward to air travel again, one day soon.

I've seen it in person many times. I believe there is a sign on it saying something about "stirring a sea of milk" on it.

my first two visits to Thailand were in 2004 and I flew into Don Meung then. The next 15 years of trips were to Suvarnabhumi. I don't like the decor of the new BKK. All steel and glass does not give one the feel of being in Thailand as landing in DMK used to. But BKK is closer to Pattaya so the bus rides are cheap and quick. Miss it dearly

It seemed that you had a check when your boarding pass was scanned and the scanner rang "tit tit tit tit"

haha yeah, I always get flagged for whatever reason when I board from Bangkok. I think it has to do with not having any baggage checked as that's the one question they always ask me.
