Band-maid, Lovebites, KGLW, 3 bands to rule them all.

I found Band Maid in 2017 and was hooked the first time I saw them. I'm 55 and it's so nice to see a refreshing take on rock done by talented musicians and songwriters. I've been lucky enough to have seen them four times. So, whenever they come back to the US, go to their shows. They are more impressive in person and they are fun, and funny as well. (They can speak English).

I love the moment when Miku-chan pumps her fist during Akane's solo. They really liven up the show even when they're not playing.🤘

I don't care about lyrics. I care about the vocals. I don't need to understand the words to appreciate a great vocalist.

I always love the funny stories behind these videos. The shot were Kanami, the guitarist knelt down next to Miku while she was singing is because at their dress rehearsal before the concert, Miku messed up her lines (she wrote the lyrics), so Kanami gave her that gesture that she was there to make sure she got them right and then approved when she did. These funny stories show how much joy they get from performing with each other and how the can kid and goof on each other while performing their great music.

Freedom is one of their less complex compositions, more freedom if you will, to just have fun on this one. what a great jam, love it, course I happen to love virtually every song from them over 130+ hard to knock them out of rotation

They don't just want to have fun, they are having fun :)

They rock live! They have so much fun while playing. When the gather around the drummer, they are playing a game called hengao, strange/weird faces. The idea is to make one of the members, in this cases Akane the drummer, laugh and mess up. At 4:30, you can see Akane give the other ladies a kiss of "good try, move along" of their efforts. This happens game is played at every Okyu-ji (live concert, which translates to "servings"). Anytime one of the members has their back to the fans and is facing one of the other members...it's game on...😂 PO! 🤘😆🤘

Glad you found the maids!! I think you'll find that you appreciate them even more every time you hear them. Every song will be your new favorite. It's just a thing with them.

Well Maidiacs, looks like the Maids have drawn another old rocker into the fold. I'm looking forward to facing more music right here. Can I suggest the double live video "Manners/Black Hole". One of my favorites.

The Maids performing one of their (two) most performed songs: Freedom and Real Existence. But the Maids in this MV are pure perfection, aren't they? I mean, what can you fault? And those faces... their attitude... their music... their playing... their story... and their joy! Band-Maid is a world treasure, imo!
