A beautiful and informative travelogue - enjoyed watching it. The creator, producer Durgaprasad Hegde takes you to a very historic place in Karnataka State - Banavasi. This was the capital of the Kadambas, the earliest dynasty of Karnataka, predating the Chalukyas, Rastrakutas, Hoysalas, Wodiyars and all others to come. Mr. Durgaprasad starts aptly with reference of and sayings of Adi Kavi Pampa - and shows us the grand historic complex of the Madhukeshwara temple. Stone temple structures and carvings are outstanding. In addition to the works of the Kadambas, subsequent rulers of Karnataka added many structures and in a way, this is a place to go to see all different styles and architecture of Karnataka in one place. Hoysala style carved lathe turned pillars, intricate carvings of puranic figures in soft stone, are very impressive. Narrator beautifully explains the various Mantapas - Garbha Graha, Nritya Mantapa and also the unique style large Nandi bull statue. This would be great place to visit to soak in the history and the earlier glory of Karnataka . However, if that is difficult to do, the video makes it possible get a good taste of it.

One must be thrilled about the saying of great poet Aaadi Kavi Pampa and from this we can lmagine the glory of Banavasi in centuries ago. The video gives exhaustive vivid information about the Madukeshwar temple. . The Nandi idol is marvelous as it's one eye is on Parvathi and the other one is on Shiva which are in different sides. worth viewing the video to know the heritage of the temple.

Wow amazing video. It took me back to school day’s history class. I strongly believe even our history book is failed to explain the data included in this video.
