Have you seen Justine Leconte's video on this subject? She speaks as a professional in this field, and also talks about the Balenciaga and Adidas collaboration, and she says it's very unlikely that Adidas hasn't seen and approved the campaign.

So proud of you calling out KZreadrs for barely mentioning this and then only speaking a few sentences about it on their channels if they do. I admire " I am Courtney Michelle" for exposing the parent company and disturbing photos. Caution advised if you go to her channel. Once those images are in your head you can't take them out . But this thing is real and Dacob is doing a superb job not glossing over. My respect for you just went up by 1000 percent. Those children are our children and need us to protect them from these sick predators. No one can turn a blind eye. No one.

The most probable answer is the most simple: Balenciaga was high. They kept on pushing the envelope on what is acceptable/controversial, and tried too hard to be edgy this time. In a way, they got the attention they were looking for... But the business execs made mistakes in giving too much freedom to Demna.

Agree this sounds likely business wise. I’m sure the double blow this fiscal year would be devastating. But you take these chances when you work with artists who, let’s face it, already had some questionable past decisions and stances. Yeah, Better late than never, Adidas. Competing with Nike - “Just do it” guess their new slogan can be Adidas - “Doing as little as possible!”

Thank you for speaking on this. It’s so hard to watch some of my favorite luxury influencers continue to support some of the Kering Groups stuff. I love me some of their brands, but right now is too soon to show them love. I’ve already tossed my favorite Adidas. Sad, but I can’t imagine wearing any of this stuff any time soon. It’s embarrassing and kinda gross.

Interesting move since the brand is currently soo far away from it’s roots and heritage. Redemption for me will be once Demna & anyone who had anything to do with that campaign is gone! Yes! I concur. They are not the only ones - it’s endemic in the world of fashion and sadly the world in general. However, if we demand BALENCIAGA’s head on a plate it will send a strong message throughout the fashion industry. Getting caught will bring down your empire so don’t go there in the first place. It will not stop every case but hopefully lessen what seems to have now become an acceptable norm in the minds and deeds of the twisted and perverse. Hit them in the pocket. That’s where it hurts. No other way. Bring them down to embers.

Hi Dacob, let me explain to you what is with "adidași " for Romanians. During communism the only sneakers that could be found were made in România and looked similar to those from Adidas, so any sneaker was called "adidas" and "adidași " is the plural, a pair of to shoes. Now, even if there are many brands of sneakers in stores, many people still call them "adidași ". So, sneakers = adidași

How long will they take losses to protect these people? One consequence of this: the business execs might give less freedom to the creative/marketing teams. Not only on Balenciaga, but maybe on all Kering.

Ok a few things. First, why has Adidas taken NO heat for this? Am I supposed to believe that because they collabed with Balenciaga, they just stepped back and gave them total creative control and nobody at adidas saw and approved this campaign? Second, they have left a HELL of a lot unaddressed. They haven't given us a reason why a diploma with the name John Phillip Fisher was used in an ad, they haven't addressed the disgusting books in the Nicole Kidman ad, they haven't given us an EXCUSE about spelling their own name wrong to read "Baal" on the caution tape in the ad with they boy that also has a drawing of a demon on the wall, nobody has addressed the shit at Christie's auction house or the Gucci child molestation accusations. So out of about, oh...a million transgressions, they've found 3 they feel they can give a "plausible" excuse for, and are just pretending (as most news, KZreadrs, etc are) that NONE of these other things exist...wtf.
