It's not really meant for saving throws. Giving an ally resistance is huge, especially when the damage the caster takes gets reduced by stuff like Heavy Armor Master and Adamantite Plate.

Romancing Shadowheart on my Honour run and got to this scene a couple days ago. Y'all, my dumb ass left the Risky Ring equipped. I was doing this with disadvantage and no bonuses aside from +1 WIS. Burned through every single one of my inspirations and then rolled double 13s on the final throw. I cannot even begin to describe just how hard I was clenched.

It's surprising how Shadowheart sparing Nightsong makes her say something that gives a bonus to the save rolls to resist because the odds of the player not resting at any point between the fight in Last Light and encountering Nightsong are very small.

im doing my first durge run on honor mode. saved Isobel and went on with things to see the quest pop up to kill her. I decided i will not kill Isobel and i did some rests but this did not happen yet for me.

Not as rare as you would think, with how many resources the game drowns you in I accidentally missed so many plot relevant points at long rest just because I thought "meh, I don't need to though"

what happens if you fail the dice roll to wake her up?? do you just.. accidentally kill her in your sleep?

Yes, can confirm (or if you choose to go back to sleep without waking her) you will permanently kill her. Happens with every romance.

Yes, they die. Same with every romance. You will be forced to fight every camp companion and most likely will die.

Wait, how do you even get to this scene? Do you have to save Nightsone first, AND don't ever talk to Isobel? OR - Talk to Isobel and then save Nightsong without long resting, to avoid triggering the night? How? By Tecxhnical game's standards I'm not "partnered" with Shadowheart before saving Nightsong, so I can't get this scene...

worst origin character by existential standards (order don't matter) 1. thirsty vampire slave marked for horrible ritual 2. mage with parasitic magical chest bomb simping for ignorant goddess 3. tiefling with unstable infernal and internal engine (unfinished story) 4. selectively mindwiped cleric under constant torment from it's beloved deity 5. adventurer struggling with excessively brutal inner beast while suffering from amnesia personally i consider two of those as stockholm syndrome one as recruitment for suicide squad one as rewritten doctor jekyll and mister hyde one as eternal consequence of bad decision under stressful situation

My guy....Lae'zel and Wyll are not the only good romance options. Shadowheart's romance route is literally about redemption and building new connections and memories strong enough to let her break free from the shackles of the Shar cult and become a better person.

And that Netherese crown that was stolen from Mephistopheles' vault? Yeah, that was the Dark Urge who stole it. Orin stabbed you in the back, tadpoled you and took your place. The Dark Urge is neck and neck with Gale for the most trippy backstory, and that's only because Gale was an Archmage who was banging a God on the reg.
