Not the tender comfort you get from a lot of your companions but this does feel like a reasonable response to your partner saying they’re about to kill you.

Tav: I have a Blood God's urge to kill! Lae'zel: Hot

It's so funny how no one else at the camp wakes up despite Laezel low key yelling amd PC grubting whole night Or maybe they just think it's normal sexy times soubds for them and pretend not to hear

Lae'zel is "I care about you on the left" and "I'll stick you with a knife if you don't control yourself" on the right. Mostly empty threats from fear and coping. She's playing mean but really does care.

Anything that adds to survival is hot to Gith. Extreme willingness for violence counts.

I like how Lea'zel is threatening to kill you while in the same time you can tell that she cares about you a lot, even if she doesn't have the courage to say it. Like - she says she will kill you if you spill her blood while in the same time doing everything in her power to make sure you don't have the opportunity so that she doesn't have to put her money where her mouth is. She's a tsundere through and through.

Laezel has just two hearts in her chest. One is the warrior with the strictness of a warrior nation and the second is a tender heart.

I love how she oscillates between actually helping you and being fairly nonchalant about it and between going "If you don't manage to conquer it right this second I'm beheading you because I have better things to be doing with my time." It's such a weird contrast and she manages to jump from one to the other in seconds. It's like: "This is a battle and we will win!!! We are unstoppable together!! You will win today, you will win every day!! We will best this urge, we're warriors and we what? We win!!!! YEEHAW" "But anyway if winning takes you even a second too long I'm skinning you. Hope this helps."

Pretty sure that’s her own panic response rising. She’s been battle trained pretty much from birth so all her instincts are “kill” but when there’s nothing to kill it just comes out in the form of a snarled death threat that calms her nerves more than anything. But that’s just my guess lmao

I see it more as a Githyanki culture thing, to meet threats with a threat of their own. Lae'zel has never lied during the story and is very open with all of her intentions. If she says something like, "attack us and I will cut you in half", and her opponent moves to draw their sword, Lae'zel will probably actually do it and spray the scene with gore, as a display of her power and ability to keep her word. That's how the Lawful Evil militaristic Githyanki space pirate culture probably works. So if the Bhaalspawn claims they are going to ritualistically murder her and paint the walls with her guts, then Lae'zel will see that as a promise, and meet it with honesty about what would happen too. It's like two growling dogs sizing each other up, not showing weakness, made into some kind of cultural staple habit. Just look at how the first meeting between Voss and Lae'zel goes.

@@ralk7048 Yeah I didn't mean to suggest that she's lying, I just found the way her culture approaches this really funny. Mostly because it's just...very untraditional in our eyes. Lae'Zel is a very blunt and pragmatic person and it's amusing to see this situation unfold because her reactions are just...very bizarre to us as a culture that isn't as pragmatic or militaristic as hers.

I take that you meant because of cultural differences she could appear inconsistent, but that she's actually completely consistent and logical within her culture. She's an interesting character where players' opinions are very polarized. You have people who loathe her because she's not "nice" to them and attempt to get rid of her or put her in camp the whole game; and you have people who appreciate her being honest all the time, or find her mannerisms endearing. I think people that go out of their way to hate her have self-esteem issues. Being online for too long tend to mess with people's minds.

​@@kaynnoir funnily enough, this is the approach that might actually help. Like, I'm all for empathy, but dark urge is some serious messed-up shit, and I think Lae'zel is the one who treats it most seriously, and she probably has a lot of experience of quenching the blood - thirst

Even when Lae'zel is being sweet she's threatening.

This MC is so pretty!! You’re really out there in the trenches with like a dozen different MCs getting to this point. I’m at 60hrs and only at the start of Act II 😂

Lae'zel and Karlach are probably the two best suited to deal with durge. Even tho Karlach is waay sweeter than Lae'zel, I don't doubt she wouldn't hesitate to drop your ass if you tried to kill her lol

Wow! That was Unromantic I've been watching this scene with different romances karlack made me cry because we can beat the darkness together but lazel just not if i kill you first energy Hahahaha

Tav can be happy to have such companions, that do help him/her in this situation. Other people would just finish him/her off.

@@diegoaragao6618 You can absolutely still switch romance partners! I'd even say in act 3 you still have time. Doing the story of the future companion you want to romance will boost their appreciation for you a lot. So make sure you do it. Also, act 3 offers many opportunities to raise their affection as well.

i made sity-two save files one of each race for dark urge and custom tav and i'm slighty crazy oh hell yes

In this scene Butler gives a truthful and precise comment about each companion: Astarion is afraid of everyone but Durge, Gale is a walking apocalypse ready to forget his god for Durge, Shadowheart put her trust only in Durge. So I was was pretty surprised to hear when he said that Lae'zel was using Durge. Is she a devotee to Vlaakith in this playthrough?

The cosmetic mods I'm using are Loulette Heads, Customizer's Compendium, Tav's Hairpack, and Basket Full of Equipment. I cannot tell you the exact face shape/ hair type since there aren't names for them. Good Luck!
