basically bhaal want's shadowheart to become a broodmother, something like the intro of the Hills of Eyes 2, fascinating yet messed up.

This is beyond depressing never playing evil durge again well atleast not partially.

I also did a Dark Urge playthrough and got a similar ending. Wasn't my favorite ending, but I was evil so it made sense.

So, we all agree Durge is getting their ass handed to them in this fight, right? The companions might be asleep but Withers isn’t, he’ll send your ass back to the shadow realms

The Dark Urge is not playable in multiplayer

how do you actually get this ending? by rejecting bhaal at the temple after being evil, or does it happen only if you destroy the netherbrain and what you did at the temple of bhaal doesnt matter?

You have to accept Bhaal at the temple, but then destroy the Netherbrain anyway, and pick the option to let yourself be arrested in the dockside cutscene. Basically, this is the worst possible ending you could get as Dark Urge because your character not only didn't have the guts to reject Bhaal when they had the chance, but they also pissed him off and didn't take themself out of the equation before Bhaal could punish them.

@@artificerprime4154 oh, so they finally fixed the bug where you couldn't destroy the brain when you accept bhaal at the temple and could only do the control ending. thanks for the info

Durge managed to kill Alfira without anyone noticing, apparently they're good at sneaky kills

@@16Vagabond Makes sense, since Bhaal is a god of assassins basically. A lot of his followers in the game are shapeshifters or use invisibility, so sneak killing is a specialty of his. That being said, Alfira was just one person, and Durge wants to murder the entire camp this time, so I don't know how that will play out.

Withers is basically a god. If you kill someone at the party as regular Tav he sends you straight to the underworld, I imagine the same happens for Durge

@@16Vagabond Yeah, and now all are a lot higher leveled than they were at that point, and they have a damn retired god with them. Of coooourse the Bhaalspawn is going to kill them all. Right 🙄

So…do you get this ending if you reject Bhaal offering as well?

No, that is a more standard ending. This is only if you accepted Bhaal and chose to kill the Absolute instead of rule in his name.

If you refuse to become Bhaal's Chosen at the temple you are slain by Bhaal. Withers then will resurrect you and reveal to you that in his careless wrath Bhaal slew the Dark Urges that would possess you, snuffing out the spark of brutality, the madness, the bloodlust that bound The Dark Urge to Bhaal. As a result of this, The Dark Urge is free from Bhaal and can continue to live life freely after The Absolute has been destroyed

Okeeeey... I have a question about, ahem, being a stallion of Bhaal as you seem to have a feminine-type body. Was your Durge trans, or did Bhaal just alter Durge's body to make it possible?

Alter Self is a 2nd level spell (don't even need to know the spell, a magic item or potion of Alter Self will do the trick), and the Girdle of Masculinity/Femininity still exists in 5e, as far as I'm aware. Also elves (especially those who worship Corellon) are known to change sex for the hell of it. If you want old edition precedent, you can even use a simple Curse in 3.5 to permanently change. PF1 (D&D 3.75) makes it even easier with Elixirs of Sex Changing and the alchemical equivalent of HRT (though that last one may not be too useful here). In short, there's lots of ways to change physical sex in the Realms :P
