Colin Cowherd is a joke! I don't like the Browns but They're going to be a force this year! Id like to see Cleveland fans finally have a football team they can be proud of. Lebron was the only thing that made that city any good in sports. Now Lebrons a bitch and the new hype in Cleveland Sports will be the Browns. They're winning 10 games this season. Might even win their division ! Its fun to see a historically crappy team come back and finally turn into something. The Browns drafted Qb's 1st round over and over just to find out they SUCK! Baker has the skillset and arm. I don't like him much because hes a bit of a cocky douche but hes got the intangibles.

Since I subbed I can’t stop listening to you. You’re as good as Colin Cowherd or Dan Patrick....and that’s high praise. Anyone reading this...try this next time you listen to Zac....put your phone down and listen to him without watching the video. He paints the picture without the need for visual aid. Great analysis. Dead on. This is how I felt about Baker before the draft; he was worthy of the #1 pick [was hoping he'd fall to the Pats because people thought he was like Manziel]. I noticed in college how quickly he progresses through his reads; it was beyond most veteran QB's. He has an ELITE arm [his touch disguises this at times]: quick release, Brees-like accuracy. But Baker also seems comfortable in chaos and thrives in pressure. His footwork and mechanics were refined. He senses pressure and actually navigates the pocket much like Brady. Love his toughness and leadership. He trusts his arm [he should], but there are times he'll force a throw or be baited by a safety or scheme. Once he [like Brees] learns to move safeties more consistently with his eyes, he'll take another step forward. Most rookies show flashes of veteran plays. Baker showed up immediately and only occasionally looked like a rookie. Cleveland should be excited and their fan base deserves it. Dorsey should be appreciated for knowing Baker was a generational QB [despite the doubters and media bias] and sticking with his guts. It was THIS pick which will be the foundation of the Brown's greatness to come.

He showed a little ability of doing so against the Broncos when he changed the play at the line and it turned into a TD on a quick inside slant to Calloway. I think we will see a lot more of that this year.

A pretty fair assessment of BM's 2018 body of work. I don't think I heard you say anything about the fact that he started after missing 2.5 games, and not getting 1st team reps until the 4th game. Plus his coaching staff in the first few games was not putting him into position to succeed. I agree, he has a growth window; I'm pretty confident that he'll become elite in time as he has the work ethic to do so.

Ok, watched this after your "rebuttal" Baker Mayfield video. Curious if some of your critiques are more team/coaching problem and not a QB problem. Examples: Switching the play when the defense lines up perfectly to stop it (you admit this may have been a coaches decision, but I added it for reference). Receivers not calling out the blitz to help their QB out (An arm up is usually what most teams coach their receivers to do). Would you be willing to do a 32 team review on Coaching? What their teams can do to improve their players performance on the field. If you could do it in a way that it doesn't sound like every other network's "Couch Coaching" it would be great. If not, I understand that too. But if you can spot the same flaws week in and week out that other teams spot, it would be great before the newest season. Your film analysis seems more on point than many of your peers.

I predict Baker Mayfield will throw 20+ interceptions this season. His flaws aren't simple. Throwing into coverage is not simple to correct. A bad decision maker dosen't just get smart. Baker plays an immature style of football and the players who have played that way never changed. Example: Bret Farve, Jay Cutler and Micheal Vick...Markus Marriota has this problem. They make too many risky throws and they never change. Baker will try to feed OBJ to try to make the "hi-lite reel" play and get picked off. QBs that don't think don't win! And Baker is not a thinker. You can't think when you are scrambling around, he's just hoping a WR comes open when he scrambles. Brady and Brees have ALWAYS known where the ball was going and where their check downs where, from day one (because they STUDY) they don't scramble around. Baker often turns his back to the defense trying to escape (because he held the ball too long) then throws up a rainbow...that don't win in the NFL. BROWNS were 7-9

Harrington Benton if these are his problems you can’t tell me that any QB from this draft is gonna be good; Darnold is a notorious turnover machine doing the same thing. At least Baker has started to put the rest together pretty well

Nice evaluation of Baker. As a Browns fan, I’m hoping he can build on his natural skills and abilities. I think he can be elite. He can be a Brees like QB and Browns can build a team around him. The next two years should show a lot of growth.

Mr. Shomler, as much as I love your videos, have you ever considered coaching? Anyone can see you have a passion for the game and are very knowledgeable and practical. Are you good with people? You seem likeable. You've played QB, so you know what it takes to lead. I've heard you mention personal stories from your past playing years which were learning experiences. There's other young men, who could benefit from your experience. I really feel if you applied as much time and energy into coaching as you do this, then over the next 10 - 20 years, the sky is the limit for you.

Ron Walker yes you can because the goal of any rookie should to be better than drew and brady... who win it comes down to the facts legit are great because of their football and not their athletic ability. Anybody in theory could work hard and be like brady and brees. You cant just wake up and have a rocket like mahomes, or the speed of lamar, or the elusiveness of wilson. But you can learn to check plays, not predetermine where you will throw it before the snap, to hit throws on time, these are learnable and if you learn these and do it consistently you legitimately are now playing at a level of brady and brees. If you really look at the numbers of brady his stats are actually pretty average over the last few years.(now the one year he had elite skill position players he broke every record it seemed and went undefeated) but The main difference is he doesnt turn the ball over unnecessarily and not just interceptions but he doesnt get sacked often, he doesnt almost ever get stripped sacked especially. And he converts 3rd and shorts... for brady to have bad drives its forces outside of his control 90% of the time. For the browns baker is causing the wasted plays, he fixes these things and he is playing at a level like brady and brees where its just do the little things right and you win games.

Baker Mayfield reminds me a lot of rookie Andrew Luck, I’m really surprised I don’t hear analysts not ever saying this. Am I off the mark? The arm strength, the physicality, the overeagerness to scramble in situations they don’t need to scramble Edit: I’m a colts guy but I’m pulling for the Browns and love baker Mayfield. He’s basically Broly, the legendary super saiyan. He’s all strength and power. His only weakness is there’s no limit to his power and he only has one body. Your only hope is for him to just explode from the inside out or match him score for score and just try to be the last one on the field.

Slim is chillin Let him play 2 more years till we claim he’s a super saiyan lmao, not being a hater I think he’s great. But he had a lot of positives, he got to sit under Alex Smith for a year and learn the offense, and then he jumped into an offense that had tyreek hill, Travis Kelce and Kareem Hunt, not to mention his line and other receivers were pretty good, also let’s add he has Andy Reid as his HC. I would of just liked to see him in a rookie situation like Darnold or mayfield and then see how he would of done but we will never get to see that so it’s irrelevant to bring it up.

Pilotorpheus 862 he always gives his supporting cast and Alex Smith their props. Don’t give Alex too much credit when it comes to Patrick’s success onfield though. Alex taught him how to be a pro and how hard to prepare for games. Taught him that being a professional quarterback is a year round job. But when it comes to his skill players, Alex had the same ones & couldn’t do what Patrick did. He may’ve surprised people that were unfamiliar with him, but that’s how he plays. All the way since high school. His numbers never fell off and his game never changed. He didn’t have Tyreek, Kelce and hunt at tech when he threw for 5k on a college schedule.

Slim is chillin I mean, just because Alex isn’t as good as a QB as he is doesn’t mean he’s not smarter, Alex Smith is very smart he just was never nearly as good as Aaron Rodgers. All I’m saying is people call him a “god” when he’s had one really good season, like I said I think he will be very very good, but don’t expect another 50 TD season.
