I want to push back on the “Watson didn’t want to play through injury” sentiment. He tried to get multiple outside doctor opinions to convince the team that he could play but Kevski and the FO shut him down for the season. He wanted to play, but the Browns decided it was better to not repeat the Baker Mayfield shoulder year. Edit to add: The “Deshaun doesn’t fit” is precisely why they added Ken Dorsey to the staff. AVP was a Stefanski style coordinator and it was extremely apparent during the playoff game that the offense was one-track minded. They brought in Dorsey to marry the run game of Stefanski and the “chuck it deep” Josh Allen plays that Dorsey wanted to run. I think they will look way better this year and fit what Deshaun needs, giving him a chance to actually fit.

Bro you can hate Watson and that is rightfully so, but you can’t blame watson when the Browns went 5-1 when he started then he beat the best team in the NFL with a broken shoulder. The browns were decimated with injuries all year and still made the playoffs. They’ll be fine, everyone is coming back healthy.

@@michaelmoore1758 Early Cincinnati before burrow was healthy, Tennessee, Indy and Arizona I wouldn’t say are quality wins. Beating the ravens was impressive as a team, but he threw 1 TD and a pick. They also wouldn’t have been in position to win without the pick-6 from Newsome. We have yet to see Watson play at a high level in the Stefanski offense. That being said… they are fine!

The Browns defense did their jobs and he finish the task… im not understanding why you’re bringing a defensive play up rn lol. He also played pretty well against Tennessee and Arizona(if you watched the games) and not just box score watch, and if he played terrible; the media would’ve ran with it. You cant knock him for the quality of wins. Those was the opponents he had to face and a small sample size. Lastly he outplayed burrow week 1 too

If Emmitt Smith gets in(and he was 1st ballot), anybody putting up the numbers should get in! Gore's 3rd place! What did Emmitt do outside of Dallas(the best OLine ever constructed by far)?! He did very little! And, Gore played for otherwise very bad offensive teams before Harbaugh got there... He didn't look like Barry Sanders stat wise on those bad teams, but to compare them is very unfair! Sanders had a returner's approach to RB(can't think of more than 4 RBs that did this in an all or nothing setup) and that is a very different approach to rushing! Gore was a traditional style RB, so--for him to accomplish what Barry did under the conditions that Barry did that--was super hard in his style of running. It was not going to happen in the timespan that Barry did it, because Gore absorbed full blows from the defense and Barry was like an advanced Dante Hall as a runner(way better as a RB than Hall would be--but same approach to rushing). BUT, IF EMMITT GETS IN WITH THAT OLINE, THE ONLY REQUIREMENT SHOULD BE THAT YOU ACHIEVE NUMBERS THAT ARE SUPER HIGH. IF GORE'S NUMBERS WERE NOT SUPER HIGH, THEN HE'D NEED MORE(like Allen is a clear HOFer--though his rushing numbers are not much for a HOFer in any era and he was a running back). GORE HAS A DIFFERENT PATH THAN ALLEN TO THE HOF AND ITS A VALID PATH DUE TO EMMITT SMITH(without Emmitt, he may not have the same case*)...Put, Gore in 90s Dallas and he'd do far more than Emmitt, because he had the same or better vision and was more powerful/faster... *Although, how do you tell the story of the NFL without NFL history's 3rd highest runner?! With the way the game has changed, he's probably gonna be there a very long time, too!

I'm calling the Rams defense this year as being good, not great. Fiske and Verse are going to be HUGE. Those two guy alone drove Florida State. Fiske is going to shock people. I'm going to say the Rams defense finishes 12th in the NFL and I think it's good enough to predict this team makes the BIG game.

Ouch Zach. Zaven Collins did not play edge until 2023, the new regime changed his position. He was drafted by Steve Keim as a middle linebacker. He went from two seasons and 2 career sacks as a linebacker through 2022 to a a new position and playing 50 some odd percent of snaps with 3.5 sacks on the year for 2023 as an edge defender. Sorry Zach, this is your worst Cardinals take since mentioning Leki Fotu as a notable player coming into the 2023 season. A wikipedia check could have told you he was never a notable player, he played 26% of snaps 2023.
