    I wish I lived there. A little hut on the mountainside. I love how quiet you are. No need for words, the birds, the wind, and water say plenty. Enjoyed this a lot thx.

    Good fishing video and it looks relaxing. I live close to Chicago and I've been to Japan 9 times for work but have never had a chance to go fishing. Those groupers have very nice colors.

    Awesome video and great catches! Love the view and atmosphere. Quick question, what’s the Velcro case you use for your hooks? Been meaning to find something like that 😊

    Thanks you very much! 😊I bought the case from a local fishing store in Japan, it's really convenient but I'm not sure if they sell it overseas. I think it's called a hook file or hook stocker. Some brands that make them are Daiwa, Owner, Ryugi, Gamakatsu, Major craft.

    Thank you! I usually catch and release, but I've had a couple of keepers from this spot that I didn't manage to get on video, some bigger sized areolate groupers / yellow groupers, flatheads, and a malabar grouper.

    Thanks for your comment! I love this reel for BFS. I use 12lbs braid and I usually cast 2g - 5g. I have not tried anything lower than 2g, but I haven't had any major backlashes!

    @@hanfishingjp All good mate.. I tried digitaka and Japanlure shop but no avail. It’s all good, I’ll just stick to my yamaga blue current iii 69 casting rod, is the ultra cast from abu garcia better than the shimano slx bfs or the ultra cast is a lot better and cast better? Thank you once again

  • @hanfishingjp

    @hanfishingjp

    Жыл бұрын

    @@Baksan_Dog1988 The Yamaga Blanks rod is probably way better! The Abu is really cheap and has good cost performance. I've never tried the Shimano slx bfs, but I love the ultra cast, it casts super smooth, I almost never backlash on it, and it has a drag clicker!

    @@hanfishingjp yeah i had the slx bfs but it’s annoying i got the right hand retrieve and can’t proper play the lure with it on my left hand 😅 so i’m thinking of getting another left hand bc reel. I’ll wait for digitaka for it to be available, what’s the lightest lure you can cast on the ultra??

  • @hanfishingjp

    @hanfishingjp

    @@Baksan_Dog1988 Yeah, it's almost impossible to use a reel with the opposite hand haha. I usually cast 2 - 5 grams on it with no issues, have not tried anything lower than 2 grams so far.

    Hi, I'm only familiar with the area I live in, but if you are driving, the costal areas south of Wakayama and Mie Prefectures are really good for rock fishing, especially during late spring to late autumn! Hope you have a great trip here!
