    Thanks everyone who takes the time to watch this video! Sure was an awesome session 🎣🐟 I forgot to film Paul’s catch at the end of the morning. He ended up leaving with a good snapper and an even better baldie, released a couple snapper & many bite offs. Awesome morning from both boats! Enjoy ✅🔥 🍻

    Hi Jack good video mate. Just a word on your Tuna processing mate. I am sure I saw you cut the biggest ones throat. This is a definite no do on Tuna. They are warm blooded and have a different circulatary system. If that's a thing. You can find tons of stuff on the net. You should brain spike them and then make a shallow cut behind each pectoral fin. If you cut their throat you will most likely cut their heart in half. No bleeding. Keep up the good work.

    Hey mate 👋 legend mate thank you for the advise I’m new to tunas and I’ll admit I don’t have a lot of knowledge on them, will 100% follow your tips when I’m lucky enough to get another. The flesh was still delicious but there def was still a fair bit of bloody in there so I believe your 100% correct. Thanks for watching, thanks for the tips cheers Gerard ✅😎👍🏻🎣🙌🐟

  • @rush.gang.fishing

    @rush.gang.fishing

    Cheers Craig was an awesome morning on the water for sure ✅👍🏻🐟 those main two rods I use are - Shimano 5k size stradic with 20lb braid an either 20 or 30lb leader on a pe3 explorer rod ( awesome combo had it for years, is a bit beaten up these days but still gets the job done ) the other rod is an Abrolos tackle retro rod, it’s a little heavier but has so much stopping power and is my “ heavy snapper rod “ 6k size Saragossa, 30lb braid an always run 30 or 40lb leader on that one weather I’m snapper fishing or dropping bottom meats to to bottom, both are great alround combos in the mid price range. I reckon they are perfect for what I do 🎣😎👊🏼 cheers for watching !!

  • @craig5147

    @@rush.gang.fishing cheers for the details. I just got a Abu Garcia veritas series 4 7” 4-8kg rod that I was looking to pair with a stradic fl 5000. The reel might be a bit big for the rod but still relatively light at 265g (only extra 5g heavier than the 4000). So you get many snapper that are +10kg?

    Hey 👋 Cheers for watching was a great session, so that’s where I’m lost - Am I not allowed to put a two hook rig on to target whiting? ( the rig has small size 3 hooks perfect for KGW ) there is plenty of whiting that deep and deeper, not my fault a dhu ate it… to me that’s a whiting rig an as I said in the video I was targeting whiting. Not my fault the wind blew me an my whiting rig straight past a dhu, As soon as I got that dhu on that rig I then put a rig on that dhu fish are allowed to eat, a big bottom rig with 3 hooks but just one one bit of bait haha 🤷🏼‍♂️. To me I done nothing wrong but the rules do leave plenty of room for debate an confusion just like this.. any way no hard feelings and to be honest I was waiting for this comment as I did actually feel bad that a dhu ate my whiting rig but these things are going to happen 😆👍🏻

    Just a heads up to you bro, its illegal to keep a demersal fish on a double padanoster rig. Doesn't matter if its accidentally caught, it must be released.

  • @rush.gang.fishing

    @rush.gang.fishing

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey Ryan hope your well mate, cheers for the heads up sounds like I’m going to have to sit down & read the rule book again tonight 😅 my understanding was your not allowed to target dhu fish on a two hook rig witch I understand, I didn’t realise it was illegal if one is accidentally caught, seems crazy as it would have gone back dead ( it floated to the surface ) then I would have used my dhu rig like I did after getting that one an prob caught another two, so in total 3 dead fish. Confusing times anyway cheers mate and I’m going to have another study tonight last thing I want to do is get into trouble or promote “dodgy” fishing. Have a good day bud 🎣✅👍🏻🐟

    @@rush.gang.fishing yeah I know, silly rules. It's the same deal with pulling up a crayfish on your fishing line, your supposed to release it because it's been caught using an illegal method.
