Cheers mate appreciate it ✅ thanks for watching. Heavy set up is a 10000 size Saragossa reel with a 12ft heavy Penn prevail rod, lighter set up is the stradic 4000 size reel and a really really old rod that I don’t know the name of haha.. fun to use though 🎣✅😎

Cheers mate & fingers crossed the big beach slob isn’t too far away 🤞🏻 something about beach fishing it’s just so relaxing/rewarding when all going well 😎 I also got myself a filming drone this week so once I’m a little more confident with that I’ll bring it down the beach & that will add to these beach sessions I reckon 🎣🍻

I am terrified to go to rocks (bad experience). would you mind sharing this spot?? I've been looking for a good, safe, uncrowded beach.

Hey mate 👋 cheers for watching glad to hear your enjoying the content ✅ definitely have to be careful on the rocks, beach is far more enjoyable/safe. Are you based south or north of the river? If your willing to do a bit of walking you can always find a quiet spot of your own, plenty of space NOR if willing to do the leg work. I’m not very familiar with South river

Nah it’s my spot 😂😂😂 beautiful bit of beach around that area ae, bit of a walk to get to that part but worth it not to be shoulder to shoulder with everyone else 😃 caught many good fish from There mate? I use to do well there a few year ago when I spent far more time there. As for the rod in the sand not my brightest move haha long time Since iv beach fished and I lost my mind when I seen the big rod start to bend 😂😆

Hey mate Yes that’s a Penn prevail 12ft ( heavy ) version. I reckon great rod for its price if had it atleast 3 years and has never let me down, I also have the 13ft model but that’s a little lighter, still a great rod for the local areas ✅🤙🏼🎣

I’m from NZ too, hope your enjoying it here, I love it been here about 12 years now only planned on being here 3 months for a holiday 😂 are you based nor or south of river? Fish the sunrise/set with burley an you are in with a chance off any beach here 🎣✅
