I saw Millie's look yesterday and all I could think was how old she looked. Like she's 18 and she easily looks like she's in her mid-to-late 20s. There's nothing wrong with looking any age but she's so young, I feel like she's missing out on all the opportunities she has to wear big statement pieces and to have fun with her style. I've yet to see a red carpet look from her that has been memorable for a good aspect. I know that her looks are probably straight from her stylist but she needs to see that she obviously needs to find someone who will give her great looks that we'll be able to remember for more than a few minutes.

I would always look forward to award season to watch red carpets live… but the commenters are not analytical at all… they just blindly praise everything very superficially… and lately Luke has been covering carpets so fast, that I don’t even mind catching them live… I’ve just been waiting for Luke’s video, and that’s very helpful in my life hahah

@HauteLeMode Millie Booby Brown's look is referencing Paul Poiret's tunic dresses before the first world war. Specifically the lampshade dress. It's a very blink and you'll miss it fashion moment. When the Edwardians relaxed and the regimentalism of 1915 took over.

Simone Ashley's look is so great, I'm such a fan of that Valentino collection.

Gaga-divine, fit and style beautiful. Millie looked like she was wearing a high school sewing group project and they could not edit it into a cohesive style. Shameful. Simone in Valentino is beautiful, but feels personal to her style, I look forward to more from her! Ariana is the winner for me, the fit, the fit the fit. She looked like confident and beautiful, Gaga a close second.

Millie’s dress totally look 1910s-1920s inspired. The wide plunging neckline with lacy band underneath, even the peplum at the waist with a column skirt below. All elements from that timeframe.

I felt the exact same about Milly Bobbie Brown's look... then I squinted at it and realized that what really made it an almost for me was the silhouette. If it was just a little bit bolder (something more halter-y for the top or something more dramatic) on the bottom I would have probably loved it? Her hair, though, was just a tragedy. Naomi Cambell's I appreciated cuz she looked like she'd actually be warm.

It’s so funny, one of the contestants on Project Runway did a sheer look, similar to the Givenchy look and Christian Siriano said the designer couldn’t send a look like that down the runway because it was vulgar. Another reason I eye roll Project Runway 😂🤣😂

With the yellow dress with the flower, I wish it the flower had been right above the slit so it seemed like the pleats were coming from it and the slit too, to me it would make more sense

I think Rebel is just re-finding herself. Her weight was made to be part of her identity in Hollywood* (e.g. Fat Amy in PP) and now she's changed physically she's trying to find what feels good for her. She looks very happy and I thought she looked good. *(whole other essay about women and toxic beauty standards etc...)

THIS. A simple search would have led him toward the correct pronunciation. It’s extremely unprofessional and just downright disrespectful to continue to mispronounce someone’s name. If you can learn the correct pronunciation of Catriona Balfe, you can do the same with Ariana DeBose.

I feel like Millie’s look takes reference from Paul Poiret as a lot of his silhouettes had multi layers like this (sometimes skirts and dresses, sometimes a harem trouser beneath a thigh length dress). Her hair might also take a 20’s inspiration but being as her hair is so short it doesn’t work so well.

If I remember correctly, the Critic's Choice Awards were supposed to be on the same day as the Golden Globes but because of the c*vid spike they were pushed back.
