Maybe I’m old school, but he thinks Gaga and Gucci should have gone farther with this, and all I can think is they should have gone higher, as in, hiking those puppies up. Being over the top doesn’t mean you should look squashed on top as well!

Selena is looking absolutely gorgeous in that dress.

The breast part of Gaga’s outfit was the main problem, it looked like one those stick on adhesive bras that are supposed to be for sleeveless shirts. The designers should have given it more structure so it would hold up the girls better.

Lady Gaga’s dress is as if it was meant to be worn with nips showing, but last minute, they sent someone to Walmart to buy sticky bra cups and only black was available to boot. It looks so jarringly disjointed from the rest of the design.

Selena looks absolutely stunning love love the dress on her .

selena's been looking great! i feel like she's found a style that fits her which is simple, elegant and mature. kate young has often styled her in things too small or big on her and these recent gowns shows you what a perfectly tailored outfit can do. i hope she does red carpets more often.

Yeah, I think that if they had done a bandeau across the chest, in the same fabric that lined the trim of the dress, that would have been beautiful. Not crazy, cooky, fun, but pretty.

The Hoyeon Jung dress is a *robe de style* - in the 1920s dresses very much like this, with the pannier, were an alternative to the typical straight cut dress. Not saying this one’s great, but it does reference an interesting movement from the past.

HoYeon Jung's dress seems to be a reference to 1920's English court presentation dresses, which had a drop waist but still opted for a ballgown-type skirt, as was traditional for court presentation gowns. Although - you're definitely right, the style of pannier in the dress is def more evocative of the 18th century, and probably wouldn't have been seen in the 20s

I saw a pic in Instagram where Hoyeon dress was used as table by her squid game costars JJ and Hae-Soo. it's actually a great dress since I guess it's inspired by flappers in the 1920's but the weird part on her waist is unnecessary. It looks like a carry on table 😂

As soon as I saw Gaga's dress at the awards I thought... if Luke likes that, I'm going to scream 😂💕

I am so glad you put Lady Gaga in worst. A hot person does not an LEWK make. That dress had really interesting elements but they should not have have gone together. It was atrocious and Lady Gaga’s body was its only saving grace.

It's crazy since that BAFTAS look was so good! She's never worn that much Gucci (besides for this movie) so I feel like perhaps she just doesn't jive as well with their designs. I don't know what Gucci/her team was thinking with that one...

While I’m not in love with Ariana DeBose or Issa Rae’s dresses, I do think those colors are STUNNING on them

Gaga's dress is like a disconnected haircut, but it doesn't flow well. I love the lace. Maybe carry through to the waist would flow better?

Kristen Stewart looks good in the Dolce and Gabbana dress. It’s a flattering silhouette. The cut is near perfect. The hair complementary. Selena Gomez looks finely put together as well after you see the whole look and not just the thumbnail.

I definitely disagree about D’pharaoh’s dad sneakers which are huge in street wear. they give the look more personality.

I love D'Pharaoh WooA-Tai' suit! I think it's understated elegance and as a 59 year old woman I would totally wear it (minus the sneakers)! Than you Luke for all your great videos!🌟🤍🌟

Well his criticism was valid for the looks and most of the time he said there are better outfits from this collection or the stylist could have done a much better job or that there is a fitting issue. Didn't find him personally attacking or being too bitchy or spiteful towards anyone.

Hoyeon Jung’s dress is referencing the Robe de Style- a 1920s dress with panniers (which was referencing the 18th century). These were decently popular throughout the decade for more formal occasions as an alternative to the columnar gowns of the period. This also seems to tie into MBBs dress from the BAFTAs too which seemed to be influenced by 1910s style- specifically the work of Poiret.

Luke did refer to the time period, historical references and panier that you mentioned. And nothing against that actress who is wearing it, she obviously has a very fit and slim body...but that dress is just a mess and eyesore regardless of who is wearing it. The way it's constructed/structured and the fitting seems really awkward. Maybe with other textile materials and colors and different structure and fitting...maybe the pannier trend could work? This was just the wrong dress and design and the final product or whatever the designer's vision was didn't really come together for that particular dress.

It’s obvious that some of the fashion critiques are influenced by the personal opinion of Luke towards the person he’s reviewing. It would be super fun to watch a video where he’s reviewing outfits without knowing who is it.

I honestly love the drop waist pannier dress.

I wonder why hoyeon jung wore a rtw look and not something custom since she's an ambassador. I'm not a fan of this dress at all, I didn't enjoy the collection but this dress (and I believe there were 2 other variations in the show) just... it looks like a fancy table. there's an idea there somewhere (i guess) but it could be executed so much better edit: i looked up some of the robe de style dresses (mostly lanvin, and even then i prefer those dresses to this one) and i get the idea of what it is supposed to be referencing. now why

If GAGA had the bustline of Camille in EIP that would have been PERFECT. Also, I'm seeing a lot of jewel/bead work, metalic flowing fabrics, pleats, and capes this season! I saw a few capes that were 18th century Robe a la Francaise inspired which I'm living for.

I know this isn’t what you normally do but I feel like it would be really cool if you looked at the runway of dreams looks from February 8, 2022. Everyone that modeled was disabled and most of the clothes were made for people with limited mobility, prosthetics, and or sensory issues.

Hoyeon Jung’s Louis Vuitton is not necessarily based off both 20s and 1700, but rather just the 1920s! Court dress was still a thing in this era, as were ball gowns, and they were typically this panniered silhouette, with the drop waist. They looked quite funny even in the era, and with this gorgeous 20s beading, this reference is actually quite close to the real deal! Still, very fair not to be a fan. Personally, I’m kinda here for it, ngl.
