I have one of the older ones and liked it. Got this 3.0 and very pleased amazingly I got it a lot quicker than the first one. Wore it this winter in Utah got pretty cold and it was fine. I am 6'3' 235 and the 2x is just right and I can layer and it is still OK.

Appreciate your full disclosure about Baerskin compensating you for posting this. Noticed it finally offers a right-side zipper pull.

I ordered this for work. I am glad they finally got some work colors for folks who work outside, but aren't doing anything tactical related. I like that this is high visibility, but not Ansi. I can wear this to walk my dog, after I remove my company logo patches . I also like that they have camo. Where was this when I was in the Army 🪖 thirty years ago?😂

Great Review, ‎I have the version 2.0 ‎And it is interesting to see what changes have been made. ‎The sleeves are probably the most important one for me.

the hood peak I think is for those who wear glasses to help keey rain drops off the lenses. I used to use my baseball cap for that purpose when working outside in the rain.

just bought one for hubby ...waiting for delivery, but regretting it as i just noticed there seems to be no underarm zips ...so he is going to overheat and not use it ....hope it comes with a return shipping label. shipping was free on the way to me, but will likely have to pay shipping to get it back to them :( anybody have experience with returns ?

Wife got me one for Christmas, I love it, I'm going out on a limb and saying this will probably be the last tactical hoodie I have to buy.

It takes them about five weeks. I got my second hoodie from them this past month. The third item I ever bought from them. The tracking and customer service doesn’t get better but their items will arrive. Hopefully you don’t have porch pirates or other delivery problems.

Took about a month for mine to arrive. At 2 weeks I inquired about the status and got a reply basically saying "we have what you ordered and we'll get it to you." There's nothing to track, no notifications, it just shows up one day.

OK, here's the real deal. I got the hoodie today. It came in a nifty zip bag. I am 5' 10" with a 44 chest and the large fits perfect. The first thing I noticed was the heft/thickness. I walked outside where we are experiencing a cold front with N winds and in the upper 40's/low 50's. I wore a t-shirt under it and after adjusting the cuffs and waist, felt no drafts or cold at all. This will eliminate other fleeces and jackets I have. Would I buy it again? Yes I would. I bought the Navy and can see adding another color. It took about 10 days to receive so if you are giving one as a Christmas gift take into consideration.

how is it when reaching with arms, does it feel tight across the back or the sleeves pull up. I like when jackets have that shoulder area extra material for reaching. thanks

@@12600Grey As I said, with 44 chest in a large, it has ample room in the back and the arms do not pull up. Now I am wearing a t-shirt underneath but there is room for long sleeve shirt easily.

Well, I posted a comment earlier about the shipping issues, but now I'm a couple weeks into wearing the hoodie. I really couldn't be happier. I have yet to find a flaw, and at this point it's longevity is the only question, but from how the thing feels, I think I'll be wearing this jacket for years.

I'll say that the hook side of the velcro is unlike anything I've seen before. I've seen that the 2.0 hoodie was pretty bad on the cuffs. And if the velcro is the only thing that goes south that's an easy fix

I am looking for something to put on and shovel snow, also when I can I would like to bike ride with something like this how would you rate that, I saw a picture of a bike on your tee shirt so maybe u used for bike riding, great review

Where is it made in?

I live in Minnesota. Winters suck.. hows this handle in winter.. i usually rock a sweatshirt and a coat.. want to replace my coat with this if itd be worth it.. if not then meh

The BaerSkin hoodie is basically a really warm sweatshirt. So I wouldn't say that it will replace a coat

Does it run big or small? I’m 5‘8“ about 170 pounds. Do you think I need a large or a medium? I want it to fit really good, that’s one reason I never order stuff over the Internet unless it’s socks.

It fits true to the size. I am 5'10" and 170 pounds and I'm wearing a size Medium in this video. I'd definitely suggest a Medium for you

To be fair I wanted to update my comment. When I finally did get bearskin to respond they actually did address my concern with a partial refund. Shipping took about two weeks.

Pretty neat.

How are the sleeves at the wrist? i hate when they go over your hand

I've never noticed them going over my hands. Especially if you tighten the cuff, I'm sure you won't have that issue.

What no reviewer has said is how annoying is the BaerSkin website. Maybe mention that and they'll change it, along with the "discount", who in their right mind would pay $400 for a hoodie?

I have the 2.0 and just received my 3.0. The quality/thickness of the fleece has diminished. Good didn't just get better...

I ordered 30 jackets to give as a gift for guys at work. Received all of them in 2 weeks

I wonder if they could make it with natural material rather than synthetic. Then it might be worth it.

I forgot to add that! Anyway, I'm wearing a Medium and I'm 5'10" and about 175 lbs

Ordered my hoodie Jan 12th and still haven't received it Jan 29th 2024. I looked everywhere for customer service number and couldn't find anything. So I replied to my order email confirmation and an autobot named Erika replied pretty much stating they did their part and that it's the shipping company fault... own the entire process Baerskin, it's your name on it!!!

Would you wear it for snow shoeing ?

So, there is no need for a 4.0 hoodie next year, right? Couldn't do it right the first or second time. See other reviews by actual buyers.

⁠​⁠@@AlexHatlevig It sure isn’t Alex - it’s a SPONGE, quite unlike my old North Face and Berghaus fleeces. And a ‘rain jacket’ big enough to accommodate all that fluffy fleece and oversized hood makes the whole thing hugely cumbersome and clumsy. I'm learning to 'hate' mine - what a TWAT I was for falling for the Bearskin hype.

3xl fits more like a 4x. I got a 56" chest and the 3x is very roomy

I purchased two if these based on the positive reviews. I've never been more disappointed with an online purchase. The fit is baggy and the fabric feels like a thick, cheap microfiber cleaning cloth. Feels synthetic to me. Please note their return policy before purchase: "Once an item has been shipped, we do not accept any returns or exchanges. All sales are final."

I bought the 2.0 last year and then the 3.0 this year. I wish I held off on the 2.0. The improvements on the 3.0 are really nice.

The customer service is a joke. If you try to call, it is answered by an unprofessional sounding guy then you wait for live person but it gets disconnected after waiting. If you try the chat option, it will go into an email. When you email, you don't get a response. They give you a tracking info, but if you click the link, you get an error message. If you go to their website and enter the order number, it will say that the order does not exist.

So a fleece jacket 😂

I think Baerskin needs to spend a little more money on customer service and order tracking, and a little less on advertising. I ordered mine on Jan.14, and have not yet received it on Jan 25th. No problem there, but when I tried tracking it, the tracking only shows it's been moved to another facility. It says absolutely nothing about where it is. Seeing's how they are sending it USPS, why not send a USPS tracking number? I seriously doubt I will be doing business with them again. If this hoodie measures up to the hype, I may consider it, but when I see millions poured into an ad campaign, I always question the quality.

Update it's not worth a hundred dollars no way..you will need something decent underneath looks nice plenty of pockets yes..but there's other stuff that can do the same job..but it's not bad

And if it’s either wet or windy you’ll need something decent on top too - and something big enough to take all that fleece and HOOD … by which time things are getting REALLY cumbersome and clumsy. I’m beginning to ‘hate’ mine and to feel like a PRAT for falling for Baerskin’s avalanche of hype.

Be aware everyone. They will probably take about 4 weeks. Ships from china and when they ship it depends on your political orientation. Just joking. You’ll get an email back saying it shipped but it will take a while and the tracking number will be useless. Something people that are sponsored won’t make you aware as it is a selling hindrance. I plan on making my own review of the tactical hoodie and I purchased mine.

They have the most obnoxious and annoying advertisement campaign in existence. Please tell them to stop.

One thing I don't like in this video and I f****** hate this with all clothes, When a pocket is closed the zipper should be all the way down Not all the way up If the zip it gets worn out, it could start to slide open you could lose something. Like the front hand pockets, When they're fully closed the zipper should be all the way down When they're open the zipper should be at the top

Depends on the angle of the pocket. If it zips from the bottom up, items could fall out of the pocket when opened.
