Taemin is the most senior since he debuted in 2008, but when the suggestion was made for him to become leader, he immediately refused and nominated Baekhyun as he is older, and he felt that he was better suited. The others agreed, hence Baekhyun became the leader. Of course they made a clause that he can be replaced if he messes up, but he’s doing great. Hahaha! All of this was done while they were live-streaming too. That was such a fun video.

Actually I think Baek is the best option. I love Taemin, but when there was possibility of him becoming a leader it was clear that he is too used to be a maknae and just not fit into leader position)

@@PandAlex yah I agree. Also people only see baekhyun an this loud funny person, but when he needs to lead he’s the best. Him being outgoing and fun is just a plus to his personality honestly, I feel like in exo he could fill in as leader when suho isn’t there.

Baekhyun does have the ability to be serious he only acts silly sometimes because he likes for members to be happy and not stressed he’s the same in EXO he has said he’d rather make people happy/smile than be serious 24/7

non of the superM members are normal. LOL XD at first Taemin tried his best to act like a hyung and stop those chaos but then he also gave up and joined them XD but choosing baek as lleader was the best choice.

When it's time to be a leader Baekhyun takes on that role perfectly. He can be serious and takes responsibility. But when it's time to fool around he is just Baekhyun. 😂

Yes Baekhyun is the leader of SuperM and he also the oldest in this group.

When Baekhyun was voted as the leader, fans already know it will be a chaotic group. Other SuperM members died hard laughing everytime because of Baekhyun, then there's Kai being done w/ him. He's the only one who know how to control him. And I know for some it's not obvious, but Baekhyun actually is a really good leader. And he was really good at communicating. Taemin is guiding them because he has more experience, he's a pro in the industry.

Baekhyun can be absolutely serious and is a great leader. Kai keeps him in check when he gets too out of control though. Kai is so used to Baekhyun and has the personality and history. Everyone else except Taemin are younger.

I love Baekhyun! And Kai ofc! Baekhyun is extra af but he is also smart and knows the limit well. He is serious when he thinks it's necessary. Other EXO members also said that Baekhyun has a serious and manly side of him off stage that is rarely shown in public.

I love his personality

When they voted for who should be the leader, Taemin was one of the candidates, but he refused, since Baekhyun is older than him, and everyone else agreed that he suits this position better. Even though Taemin is Baekhyun's senior in the industry (debuted in 2008) he still respects Baek's abilities and trusts him every time, as well as the younger members (from NCT and Wayv). Baekhyun is just a joy to be around, he's loved by all the groups under SM, haha. NCT babies even went to support him during the "Candy" promotion and surprised him when he did the encore stage at Music Bank. Taeyong literally had stars in his eyes, he was so awestruck. Baek is leader for sure. He is fun and chaotic, but he is also more serious in Super M than he is in EXO. He was different in their MTopia reality series than he was in EXO's Ladder for sure. Kai is also different in Super M than in EXO. He is a hyung and is a pretty good one. Even to his Baekhyun hyung! Although he does still act like a baby around Baek too. Kai is definitely the one that keeps Baek in check. Because he has that familiarity with him. The others are much more comfortable with Baek, and love when he loses and stuff, but they would never call Baek on his BS like Kai does. Super M is a really fun group. Personally, it was a great way for me to get into NCT, since there are 23 NCT members...I decided to start small and learn the 4 NCT members in Super M first! Their music is fantastic too!

In EXO, leader Suho was always bullied by Baekhyun and other members, while in SuperM the members couldn't intimidate Baekhyun, what happened was Baekhyun bullying the members😂. All members chose Baekhyun to be the leader because they know Baekhyun is someone who is responsible and has a good leadership. Even Taemin (Baekhyun's senior) admits that Baekhyun leads the group very well in a relaxed but precise way. Many people think Baekhyun is just someone who is cheerful and always does everything in cute ways, but few know that Baekhyun is a very mature introvert like Chen said that Baekhyun can really put himself in all conditions, he is a fast learner, a good listener, a deep and mindfull person, a serious one, the manliest member in exo (chen and chanyeol said), someone who easily makes others feel comfortable around him, someone who easily overcomes all problems, he can handle everything, he can do everything, he is very responsible and a hyung (old brother) who looks after his dongsaeng (young brothers). He is also has a beautiful personality, a wonderful mindset and being a lovely child for his parents and family. That's why he's called an idol genius! Baekhyun is complete package as idol, i love him so much!!!! Taemin who recommended Baekhyun as leader, other than because he didn't want to be a leader. Taemin also said that when in group chat or when they were practicing, Baekhyun as the oldest member was able to provide direction and manage other members. That's why he chose Baekhyun as leader. If you watch more SuperM variety shows, you will see that side. It's as simple as Taeyong asking Baekhyun to open the plastic on the sticker paper because he can't open it, or when Kai is confused about talking to a customer who protests over the phone, he immediately gives the phone to Baekhyun to handle it, or when Taemin is feeling bad about something, Baekhyun will come then asked him to talk and said many things to make him better and Taemin realized it in the end. It’s ofc just one side of him. He is actually very serious and smart. Like a lot. Hardworking. And very thoughtful.

The dynamics of the group are crazy, amazing and sometimes really cute hahaha. Baekhyun is a great leader, he knows when to be serious and when to be chaotic :)

Guys, if you get to know NCT, you'll realize there's no normal members here eiter xD (even in Shinee btw xd) so yeah... SuperM is team full of crackheads, but Baekhyun is reliable leader for them and he's doing his job perfectly! He's the one who usually lifts up the mood, but he's also really proffesional

Choosing Baekhyun as SuperM's leader is the perfect choice. The younger members from NCT and WayV adores him so much. He may be chaotic and funny most of the times but the members had so much respect in him. Taemin even said that sometimes he feels bad for Baekhyun because he gets all the scoldings from the upper management alone. Being the leader, he collects everyone's thoughts and opinions and brings them to the management.

Kai was not in disbelief. He lacked reaction because he was used to it when Baekhyun release album spoiler in EXO. Actually Baekhyun is serious in interviews. He's just having fun when it comes to variety shows or group projects/games.

Well he does have 22 children in NCT. But I honestly feel like he (Taeyong) enjoys not being the leader of SuperM. And Baekhyun is pretty good at knowing when to get serious. I'd say that if he gets out of hand Taemin or Kai would say something. But Baekhyun isn't afraid to speak up to SM or anyone. Taemin talked on Knowing Bros how Baekhyun stands up for the members often and makes sure everything works smoothly.

Taemin debuted in 2008 as the maknae of shinee. Since he is the most senior super m suggested hin to be the leader but he suggested baekhyun instead since he has always been the maknae. Taeyong is the leader of nct so he has to lead 22 members but in super m he can relax more but you can see his leader instinct come out sometimes😂 The members also listen well to taemin since he is the most senior of them. And yes Kai didn’t like the idea of Beakhyun becoming the leader😂😂

God Baekhyun in Super M is truly unhinged. But he can 100% be serious and he's been a fantastic leader for the group. I know his leadership has been real comforting especially to the NCT members as they're the youngest group and also Taeyong is the leader of NCT, but is able to relax and be babied when he works with Super M lol so it works out great for everyone really. And you don't know how happy hearing the words "NCT soon" made me, no joke, tears came to my eyes from excitement. I'm anxiously awaiting, but for not I'll make do with GOT7. Speaking of, have you guys heard all the updates with them? I'm super sad and anxious for their future, but at the same time SO happy that they can leave JYPE and I know that they're never gonna leave each other regardless of what happens. All that's left to do is wait and see what's next for them in the future.

baekhyun tbh is very responsible and very reliable but he definitely does not lose any of his personality even if he's in charge particularly for this group. he totally directs the whole group in interviews and makes sure every member spoke, he assists them if any member is having a hard time explaining (e.g. Lucas/ Ten), and most especially, he provides SuperM enough comfort, much fun, and advices whenever they're together

baekhyun is like ''calm down little mark. i literally spoiled my whole solo album on v-live and s.m. couldn't say anything !!'' baekhyun spoiler king (along with sehun). baekhyun spoiled all his songs!! including the photoshoot!! and unboxing. full unboxing! and stil sold out the most! kai is also like '' i spoiled my photos to my solo '' also - beside exo being the savage carefree group they are - they also have a record of many years now in this industry , that's why they are so free and do whatever they feel like. they natural at this from day one, but ofc today they are even more.

Usually its Kai who tries to keep Baekhyun in check. But there isn;t a substitute leader cause even though he is funny he leads the team really well during these livestreams or on reality shows. You should check out Super Mtopia, their latest Reality Show. Its hilarious.

Yes. I agree with you. Baekhyun being loud, chaotic and funny is just one side to him. He does take his responsibility as leader seriously. And when he gets a bit too wild on camera (trying to be entertaining & help members loosen up) Kai will at times say something.😊👍

all of superm is crazy baekhyun is the leader and oldest but taemin is the first to debut and taemin really gives off the parental vibe in the group bc he’s super caring for the younger members and baekhyun is totally the mood maker. with taemin it’s funny because he’s the crazy maknae in shinee but very different in superm

once suho said that baekhyun really is manly and is the best in difficult situations and even calm others as well and chanyeol said that even though he is the noisiest but he is also the manliest. he just wants to keep the group fun and unstressed . as all members in exo that know him so well agree that he has the most meture personality . he is a genius idol and he can be a lot of things at the same time. i think he lead the group so well and the others love him so much and he is the oldest too. he has a serious side but shows it less often . but like a side a very meture personality and thinks logically.

Haha Baekhyun can be very funny! But you are right guys, he can be serious as well. Other members share how Baekhyun takes care of them and teaches them something. As I understood he is also great spokesmen to SM on behalf of the group. While supporting Baekhyun’s artistic path for a few years, I am constantly amazed how he combines these two sides perfectly: hilarious and funny and very mature. I wish someone would make a video about other side of Baekhyun because it seems like people are aware mostly about his funny side and create videos about this side only:) but I love all of his sides haha

When someone asks me what other group other than EXO do i stan i say SuperM :) because of watching SuperM my bias is Lucas he reminds me soo much of chanyeol they are both baby giants!

That was Baekhyun ways to get closer to people... In EXO, Baekhyun and Chen are the mmbers who have the shortest trainee time.. he always trying to ask other members to take a shower together so they can get closer. So in SuperM he tries to look more approachable to the younger ones by joking a lot (even tho he naturally funny). NCT and Way V might be awkward since Shinee and EXO is their sunbaenim they look up to since trainee days, plus in early SuperM debuted days some exols and shawols that contra about this project throwing hate here and there. Baekhyun such a sensitive person, he can feel what other people feels, that's why baekhyun jokes can make the younger more comfortable with the seniors. Funny Baekhyun can be seen in front of camera often, but he was serious person too.. Chen and Xiumin said Baekhyun can be serious when he wants. He was actually so matured too if you know him well by his interviews etc^^ You have no idea how scary Baekhyun when he get mad, he was mad when sasaeng followed them, calling them, and he also can scold exols when we are push each other in airport, concert and also in fansign bcs he doesn't want us to get hurt. That was so sweet but also scary:") Note: Don't worry Baekhyun asking SuperM member to shower together too;;)

Actually, Baek is a great leader. He's so chaotic but he attentively listens to his members. I remember one episode in Mtopia where in they were asked to answer puzzles, and most of the members approach him for help. When members have any concerns, they would say it to Baekhyun, and Baek would be the one who'll bring up the concerns to the staffs. They really rely on him as a leader. 😊

In EXO we have D.O and Xiumin who always control baekhyun when he gets out of hand but in SuperM we have Kai who has stepped up to control him when he gets out of control because the other members are still getting used to him being him ;) hehehhehe but honestly in SuperM i get to see baekhyun very serious at times because he is the leader and at the beginning he was struggling with the role of being a leader and the responsibility of it but he shared that Suho texted him when they(SuperM) were at the airport that he can do it! Leaders vibe only yall im not crying you are!

SuperM choosing leader is similar to EXO, did yall know that xiumin is the oldest so he was asked to be the leader of EXO but he declined just like Teamin did so thats why the second oldest member of EXO is the leader which is our Suho... but its okay because Xiumin is the leader of EXO-CBX. Baekhyun is technically the oldest but career wise Teamin is older because Shinee debut 4 years earlier than EXO :) and i am one of the many exols who wouldnt mind if you guys fit SuperM into EXO;s section because baekhyun and Kai are part of SuperM who are still carrying EXO's concept in that supergroup :)

I know it's hard to squeeze in new groups but I do hope y'all check out SuperM at some point! They're such a fun group, they're all seniors in the industry so they are more open and playful and the dynamics between the members is so great to see!
