​@@kionisua8564correct. in this very game she's playing, the secret (and naturally also the hardest) boss has an attack where he does a backflip and throws a grenade at kiryu, which immediately detonates upon contact. the solution to this conundrum is R1+∆. punch the grenade so hard that its inventor feels it in the afterlife. even explosions can catch these hands. any damage means ANY DAMAGE.

​@@SpacePopeIII It is quite funny that Kiryu frequently forgets and has to relearn his most powerful move in the games. Spoilers Even Gaiden lampshades that Kiryu forgets his super powerful counter move and that he probably shouldn't forget it.

Tiger Drop is ridiculously OP, and it's wonderful. Nothing's better than dropping more than a full health bar off a boss in one attack, then shaving off another one or two with a heat action.

Thanks for the highlight! You should have also featured Bae's fight against Everyone's Idol Goro as she managed to consecutively(5x!) Tiger drop Majima to death

God its so satisfying seeing someone actually taking the time to actually figure out how to do it. Can't count how many streamers I've seen not even bother trying it out thinking its some kinda frame-perfect move when even somone with no experience with brawler games can pull it off consistently with some positive can-do attitude.

I feel like it was easiest to do in Kiwami. It was practically impossible in the other games, and in 5 it really did feel like it had to be frame perfect to get it. But in Kiwami I never had an issue.

@@TheBeastInBlack I can pull it off pretty consistently in 5 from what I remember but that's probably cause Kiryu was my favourite character to play as in that game so maybe that bias helps. I think hitboxes were slightly different pre-Ishin so maybe that has something to do with TD feeling harder to get right, that or it's attack animations as well.

0's best version is of the brawler imo. Basically same move, but better than the Dragon style version you get. @@TheBeastInBlack But some games it's easier than others but definitely possible, just not as spammy as in kiwami. Yakuza 5 you're so damn strong you don't need it either way.

I usually have difficulty landing the tiger drop so I usually stay with attacks that are more reliable instead of doing what is essentially a parry type attack

what makes tiger drop even better is it does more damage the lower your heat gauge, it can take _an entire bar or more_ off on empty if you've got your damage upgraded enough. and what a coincidence, dragon has a skill that lets you empty your heat gauge, almost like they knew just how busted tiger drop was and said fuck it, we'll let them go nuts lol

tiger drop Is the most OP move in the whole series. In some games it gets nerfed, but still

Its the strongest in Kiwami 1 lol; by the time it reaches Dragon engine the damage has been significantly nerfed but it's still satisfying to land. Other things like running dropkick just do way more damage and come out easier in the later entries.

⁠@@anonamos701 You're right that it's by far the strongest in the first game, but the game that I actually found it the most useful in was 3 because the enemies in 3 block everything. So since tiger drop is a counter, it's not block-able.

​@@ThunderHamAgreed. Although 3 was the most frustrating game combat wise, it has been the only game in which I defeated Jo Amon at first try, and it was mostly thanks to Tiger Drops. That move is so OP that it feels like a cheat sometimes.

Yeah I don't really blame them. Though on the other hand you don't really have to go through much effort to unlock tiger drop in Kiwami 2 unlike the coliseum grind you need here so it makes sense

I try to use that to fight majima in Yakuza 3 but i gave to try it cause he RAN so fast so i use komaki parry and use dragon king essence to do Tiger drop was like make your enemy pounce you first with lesser enemy yeah but with boss i can do two time with kanda boss most of it was easy to use komaki parry

My favorite part about the first fight is she hit a guy with it she didn't even process that deleting the guy's health bar. It was only on the last guy she understood.

I don't remember kiwami 2 gameplay but Yakuza 3 remastered is by far the worst and more aged gameplay in the series. I fear she will quickly dislike it after 0 and kiwami experience

⁠@@warudo1 As someone playing through the games for the first time recently. I can say 3 is definitely the worst combat overall, but my god playing as Saejima in 4 was hell when you first got him. I'm currently partway through 6 and I think Saito from 4 was by far the most frustrating boss fight in the entire series. Saejima's just too slow and Saito doesn't stop swinging to give you a chance. I felt so much joy later on destroying him with Kiryu since Kiryu can actually act between Saito's swings.

What Yakuza is this? 😮
