This is a very satisfying and easy job to do at home without any heavy tool.

Thank you! It is a mixture of caustic powder used on little wet area for best result.

This is not cast iron.

Correct. It's carbon steel. The carbon content in cast would not allow for that handle to be bent.

Not thick enough for cast iron. So thin cast iron will crack. Shape of eye. But mild carbon steel makes good frying pan.
