Trail Camera footage of the badger that visits my English garden. I place two trail cameras in my front and back gardens - the Ceyomur CY95 and Campark T180 CT08 - to film the badger.

Thanks for ther reviews and videos, Paul. I ended up purchasing another Ceyomur CY95 after my son got me one for my birthday earlier this month. I'm very pleased with the video quality and battery power. Being a photographer by trade, I would have preferred RAW files for the camera shots, but that's probably not possible for such a good price. For those reading the comments, I would not advise purchasing a VANBAR 4K WiFi Wildlife Camera as I did, just a week before my son bought me my CY95. The video and image quality are garbage. It was my first trail camera and at the time, I had nothing to compare it with. Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave, thanks for your interesting comment. I am a photographer as well and yes, RAW files would be good. Can't see that happening with Trail Cameras although my DJi MIni 3 pro drone has a 10 bit 'sort of raw' video file and that is a very small sensor. You have made a good choice with the CY95 - I have one and did a review on it on my other channel - I'll leave the link if you're interested in watching it. All the footage at the beginning, before the review, was shot on the Garde Pro A3. I really like the CY95 and love the form factor and that solar panel really works. I have the Campark TC07 at the moment for review and have been looking closely at the files. The sensor shoots native 4K @ 30fps - so they assure me! but what is sure is that it is only a native 13mp sensor, so all the 'higher' resolutions of the stills are simply interpolated - which for us is unnecessary as we can do that ourselves if required. I have been checking the CY95 stills - 12mp, 20mp & the highest one. I suspect that it is shooting 12mp native - which actually is fair enough for a small sensor. The large mp options are just for marketing and making people believe the mp count is bigger than it really is. Hope you enjoy your Ceyomur as much as I am. Cheers. Paul ps I also have the Campark T180 (reviewed on this channel) and as far as I can see it is exactly the same as the CY95 kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y2V3rLGeosndk6g.html

0:19 Is it necessary to protect the camera with a plastic foil when it rains? Doesn't this significantly affect the image quality?

These cameras are totally water resistant - it’s not a problem then being out in the rain all night. If drops land on the lens then yes, quality is reduced. The good thing about the cameras with a solar panel is that the panel tends to stop rain drops hitting the lens.

Hi I’m looking for a trail camera for my dad. I’ve been looking at the CEYOMUR Solar Wildlife Camera 4K and Campark TC22. Only issue I have with TC22 is that it’s only relies on solar power and being in U.K. not much sunlight in winter. Also delivery from America will it takes weeks to arrive.

Hi Julie, They are both really good cameras. Both the Ceyomur and the TC22 are charged by the solar panel but also you can fully charge them at home with the USB cable. As you mention the Ceyomur also has the benefit of 4 back up AA batteries. This is my review of that camera on my other gardening channel: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y2V3rLGeosndk6g.html If you are nervous about the Christmas post you could get this Ceyomur from Amazon UK - as I mentioned, I really like these trail cameras and use them a lot. I'm surprised how similar the Ceymour CY95 looks like the Campark. I know you mentored in some of the other reviews that the 2K video setting has a higher bitrate compared to 4K.. do you find that to be the case with the CY95 as well? Thanks!

I have the CY95 and the Campark T180 and I agree they are pretty much identical. My Cy95 is out in woods at the moment but I will check the files when I retrieve it later this week. However I would say it will be exactly the same. I feel the 4K is 'pushed' - even though it's supposed to be a 4K native sensor. I did do some side by side tests on the computer with the CY95 footage and I reckon 2K (and even 1080p HD) stand up well. I don't see the point in 4K having a lower bit-rate - 4K needs a high bit rate.

I actually had 4K 2K & HD all in thirds across the screen - all with the object at the same size ie HD was about 200% and 4K 50% - all looked the same with the HD actually fully holding its own even at 200%.

Good question. I have had them all out in pouring rain this Winter and they have been completely waterproof. Also freezing conditions, so I don’t worry about the weather.
