I love how my 3 yr old thinks that you are actually talking to her when you're talking, so she responds to you lol. I love the work you do!
There's nothing like watching a top craftsman do what he does. I'm addicted to these.
I hand stitched my 1st full welt yesterday... (awl and needles) my fingers where sore.. the stitching was messy (its just my own pair of slip on shoes for the garden and farm yard).... at one point I cut it apart, to fix the lining and it looked like an exploded banana. Today I got 1/2 of the 2nd shoe welted.. I did much better, I hurt less.. I am pleased to have learned to rip a shoe apart and redo it.. without fear . Thank you Steve !

Here's me... I'm a retired home builder and I will watch every and any craft I myself have never performed. I will continue to watch every episode as it never gets old to see another experienced craftsman display their skills. The one 5hing that you do that blows my mind (and that is most everything you do) is the crazy skill you have with that razor knife! I have held them most everyday for 45 years and cannot so easily master it especially in proximity of easily damaged materials. You're amazing Steve, and I have watched you do about 40 or more 50 videos and I am always ready for more. I should add, being disabled and now retired, I get a great dose of craft skill in every episode! Thanks steve😊👍

I swear I'm going to visit your place on my 1st trip to America with a broken pair of shoes, just so I can have a coffee with you and watch you work brother. Absolute masterpiece indeed. Wade Goodwin, The Fair Digest, Cape Town, South Africa

There isn't a man on planet earth who is as good as you at repairs to shoes. My father was a farmer and shoe maker, we used to use are own leather from the cattle. You sir, are the best of the best
If Steve would read this, I would suggest offering some hand made leather goods for the public to buy. As your fan base grows and so does your reputation for quality, people are willing to pay for excellent hand made items. Wallets, belts, keychains, watch bands, and purses are just a few of the items you could offer. Start small and see the response, and then go on from there. You have now become a brand name and people will want those items.

@@BedosLeatherworksLLC Thank you for your time, talents, skills, humor, craftmanship, and for posting your Excellent videos. I always click the like before even watching and always share for others to enjoy. Take care and God Bless. Peace, Joy, & Love Brother. Wishing you the very BEST.
Who would watch one of your videos and then not subscribe? You do such great work and teach your viewers so much. Who would not want to see more? This was a nice project. You improved the shoe as always and did it economically. I am sure the customer was happy. Not every repair requires a JR sole. You wouldn't carry an inferior house leather. The customer got what was asked for. Love your videos.
Never apologize for ranting about poor craftsmanship. You have a high standard of professionalism and it's good to know when others are fudging on their jobs. It lets us know what to look for in a botched repair.
Mr. Bedo, Thanks again for great entertainment and fine craftsmanship. Pray you and family are well in these whacky times. Grace and Peace.
I hope you are able to find someone to train that has the same set of values as you do to pass this legacy onto. Quality repair work takes a true craftsman and a love of the work that they do.

I believe that you come in with the right attitude / values and build from there. I think it takes a lot of life lessons for an average person to wake up and know X job is their passion. But it's not just that, there's also business acumen to attend with. You have to know both sides of the shop, to make it work. Steve is a rare person. Actually I am not going to say specifically rare. There's just millions of businesses and jobs that need a person like Steve and there's not enough people like him to go around. Every facet of society needs people like Steve to raise us to the next level of civility. You can tell with Steve, it's not all about the bottom line, and that's quite refreshing.
I love the way you talk to yourself, and your sense of humor. Oh, I too enjoy hammer time! 😂🤣😂 You do amazing work! Thanks for opening the door to let us peek inside. 😁👍
I have ruined more than one pair of shoes, but they were my own. As you said, one has to start somewhere. One of the things I learned the hard way is that when replacing the welt without a last (or at least a shoe tree) inserted, it is possible to change the width of the shoe. I learned to proceed with caution. I have learned so much from you, and still am. Thanks.

I enjoy watching a true craftsman displaying his skills.
I love how you often come around to the customer's vision of their shoe or bag. This just shows your generosity of spirit, given that you can appreciate other aesthetic view points. You are a kind and gentle soul... even if you are a jerk with a needle.
lol, sorry, a few times when you were saying half-soles i thought you were saying "assholes". i finally got what you were saying...

Good choice keeping old patina. Nice work!
I never get tired of watching a professional at work.
For a less expensive job, they turned out quite nice. The quality of the materials used are probably on par with what was used originally.

Steve you are amazing. not just a great cobbler...but a fantastic person. Always answering questions and helping people. Thank you!

Thank you for giving us these videos to watch during the pandemic and letting us watch you work--it gives me a lift to see you transform all these shoes and handbags and give them life again. Every time I get a notification that you have a new video, I head over to youtube. One of these days I will be sending over my non-fancy pants handbag, which is a personal favorite. Keep the videos coming!
How did I get here first?. Much better than watching the news.
I watched lots of cobblers on KZread videos, but no one is like you, you are the best
The whole experience for someone like me, is that your videos are like just hanging out at the shop... watching how you do what you do... and listening to what's on your mind and sharing a rant or three (ok, some coffee would be good too). The only thing missing are the things which make it all the more real. The smell of the waxes, dyes, leather, glue drying, etc. Nice work done on those poor ol'/abused (by other shops) hoof-covers. You've turned 'em back into good/solidly crafted, sturdy foot gear once again. A guy could slap those puppies on and know he's got some good shoes on his feet, and not be embarrassed by their appearance/condition. Elegant Oxford did a review video (posted today) of a line of shoes out of Spain (made in China). He did a good job of trying to point out the selling points of what you're getting for the price... but, what I couldn't get passed is that the breast of the heel was the only part which touched the floor. Standing in those, the "hinge" created to break down the integrity of their build would just create a line of pressure across your foot as your weight would force the rest of the heel to make contact with the floor. I appreciate an honest review, and the opportunity to place an eye of scrutiny on the product. I'd gladly give up a blind stitched sole in order to gain a flat resting heel. Extra cookies for the Zeus unit.
I don’t know why but I have an overwhelming urge to subscribe to this channel now....
A Cobbler that doesn't take care about or pay attention to details on a repair is a bad Cobbler. Those bad cobblers should remember about this "Quality is job number one". And a good job will bring back clients.
I’m with the customer on keeping the “old” look. There’s something so satisfying about old brown shoes. Good job!
There are many so called cobblers out there that should of been butchers. Your work shows that you take pride in whatever you work on, unlike many people that don't give a dame. 👍🏻
Hi Steve. Really enjoy your videos. My uncle was a Cobbler and I remember as a kid watching him and smelling the leather. It was fun. What a great craft and you get kudos fo really caring about the quality of your work. I am older now and just enjoy your craftsmanship. Regards
Steve:, not quite sure if your videos are more therapy for you or for me, but either way, it is win-win for both of us! Thanks so much for posting!! Rocky ✝️🇺🇸✡️🇮🇱
I think my favorite parts of these videos are Steve's "Hey man" bit.
As always a plesure to watch your craftmanship, a good old handmade thumbs up.
Great work, as always. I'm particularly impressed that you gave this pair of shoes your full attention and care despite the customer having a somewhat limited budget. Much respect.
Not every cobbler has an eye for detail or enjoy doing their best like you. You take pride in your work. Need more people like you! 😉
What I really love you is that you take GREAT PRIDE in what you do and also you go the EXTRA MILE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS, ALWAYS A GREAT JOB, P.S. I what your videos when I get off work with coffee and a peanut butter sandwich like watching one of my favorite show.
The thoughtful explanations and variations are a pleasure to watch. Plus the “hammer time” time.
Love your sense of humor! You are allowed to toot your own horn.
I'm a metal fabricator(lots of cutting grinding, rotary tools, etc) and I still get anxiety watching you run the edge trimmer lol. I know you are clearly well aware and well experienced, its just a gut thing I can't help!
That’s great work Steve. You always do the cleanest work.
So enjoyable to see a real craftsman at work, thank you very much.
Great looking shoes, I like the patina. Love the story behind that crank in the machine that is hilarious!
keep up the good work, I like your honesty and love for the craft, its an art that needs to continue.
Yes! Just what's needed.
Whole week waiting for your new video!
Thank you for showing us your work. We always learn something from you.
I love your videos Steve, they always cheer me up. Best wishes from UK x

Another great vid, there’s everything to enjoy each time you post something. Best wishes from Edinburgh, Scotland.
Beautiful shoes. You're skill really makes them look great again!
The all too obvious differences between a CRAFTSMAN and a HACK are shown. Leather, metal, wood, stone, or you name it quality workmanship speaks for itself. Steve's work is QUALITY.
Great vids steve. A must watch.
I love your passion for your art. I also love your artistry. I'm really rethinking my career choices.
Tremendous painstaking job. Excellent shoe transformation. I always love the way you explain every repairs in details to make people understand. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A true master at work! I so enjoy how you laugh at your own jokes! Hammer time! 😜😜😜😍
Nice work. Also, nice to see your videos of shoe repairs again.
I so admire the skill you have to do such beautiful work. Some things we can do once we're shown how but a great deal of what you do involves precise movements and control that seem almost superhuman.
I can tell that you take extreme pride in your work which is very notable, you are an artist in shoe repair. Great job, Jay
I'm a fan of the patina look. Great job as always. Id love to hear more about your shop equipment, their stories and how much better or worse they are than modern equipment.

Marvelous repair!
Great Video once again!!! 👍🏼🔥
Yet another great job well done
I enjoy how you dissect the shoe as you CSI the many discrepancies the previous cobbler committed in repairing the shoe. I like the moments when you share a brief history on the many vintage machines you have in your shop. Another excellent episode!
Great video, as always. Beautiful shoes.
Superb works. Keep on coming
A big difference. Great job
