For clarification, getting "Exodia'd" is an EXTREMELY rare occurrence. If I'm correct, this is only the 3rd time it has happened in a speedrun, across all runners on the board. Imagine the thousands of hours put in by speedrunners, and to have that only happen a handful of times? You might want to buy a lottery ticket if you get it lmao. Also for those who are asking: Spikevegeta is playing Super Mario 64 Chaos Edition, a mod of the original game. Anything can happen at any moment, hence why he's playing as a sign. -Glitch PhD

He's 10 hours in which means the only thing he could be doing is 100% unless he's not even trying to be close to the ANY% record... and the 100% record has 10 hours between 1st and 2nd. Losing one duel isn't going to fuck that time up that hard unless your last save is 2 hours back or you're already 5 hours behind pace.

There was a kid in Singapore who recently drew Exodia as his opening hand against his opponent. The kid was 13 and the other guy looked like he was in his 30's and was done with everything lol.

For anyone wondering: The probability of someone getting the 5 pieces of Exodia after drawing 6 cards is: (5C5)(35C1)/(40C5) = 0.0053% That's almost 1 in 19,000. Not as rare as some people may think. Now, the probability of this happening and being recorded is abysmally low. We can't put a number to this since we don't know the sample space.

Yeah, i think that is straight out of a odds formula without considering the actual mechanics of the drawn of the deck. Nice math, bad holistics - you need to consider the way the sample is drawn by the computer

@@dragonstouch1042 I know, but if we consider how much time is put in, that chance goes from unlikely to likely, to very likely, because people keep rolling the dice until they get it. Probability is weird like that, yes it's unlikely you'll roll a 100 on the first try, but with each concurrent roll, it becomes more and more likely you'll get it.

What we may not see: Multiple already failed attempts which eventually whittled away the patience the speedrunner used to have. So the camel's back gets broken in the clip which we see.
