Spring Mario will extend his sprite when falling down. Normal springs don't do that.

@@pensamiento3867 This. If you get a star, the game boots you out of the level and resets your score when you go back. Even though it was cool that he pulled off that glitch, it ultimately meant a waste of time because he'd have to re-do all that coin gathering.

Y'know... I never truly got the divide between a Fail in Speedrunning, and a Bad Luck. Are fails purely skill-oriented? Is luck just that? Are they interchangeable?

Ghrae I think you got it right. I’d say a fail is a mess up on the gamer’s behalf and a bad luck fail is where something unlucky happens, or sometimes even ridiculously unlucky like the guy doing Mario Maker that got turned into a spring and then jumped into a pipe room full of springs so he legit couldn’t tell where he was.
