I think the context there is there is a queue of cars that will go faster if the truck up ahead would get out of the fast lane where it's creating a bottleneck. The overtaking on the left station wagon should be sitting behind waiting his turn.

Olivia had to deal with both the entitled carpark strolling pedestrian and the usual type of entitled idiot who buys a Merc and expects you to morph through the car in front so they can continue their turn, no patience left on the roads in Australia!

I do understand guy @17:20 in commodore station wagon. sometimes it annoys the fuck out of me a column of cars in overtaking lane and they are being slow and not going back in middle lane but just continuing to hog the overtaking lane for others. if i dont flash them my headlights they would never go back into middle lane on motorway. such a bad lack of driving culture in australia. that's why i understand frustration of that commodore bogan. don't say i condone his behaviour just i do understand it...

Law in (all?) states... If the lane ends in a dashed line, the car merging must give way. If the lane ending has no dashed line, it is a zip merge, and you give way to the car in front. In this video, it appears that the DC car fails to give way, but it depends on if the 4wd with the float broke road rules by exceeding the speed limit to get in front (in other words, when the DC driver started to merge, was there sufficient space and time that the following car shortened up by speeding?) Either way, at that speed glad it didn't end up with a prang.

HI , The law is same in all states without a re cam we cant see what the other driver didor how far back they were , but we see they are behind the DC which was slowing for the traffic ahead and the lane change ,even if we assume the DC did fail to give way that does not make it ok for the ute with a trailer to driver dangerously on the wrong side of the wrong and force the DC off the road :)

Exactly, the issue I have with the Keep Left rule is that it has many thinking that the speed limit doesnt mean crap to them, such as that guy that he is talking to. He should be in the left lane just like the others should, no need to be in the right lane when the other traffic is moving at the signposted speed.

I mean, I get that we've all made mistakes. Forgotten to check our blind spot. Failed to give way. Misjudged when pulling out into traffic. I know I have. But the blatant disregard for the rules and other road users (or pedestrians) is just getting beyond a joke!

It's only getting worse. I've only been on the road for 20 years and people have become shit, they indicate for 2 seconds before cutting you off, do under the speed limit, then go slow. The above scenario is at least twice a day for me.

Olivia must live around me, I recognise most of those places and that's a pretty accurate representation of the drivers around there. Too many immigrants that don't know how to drive.

The thing about Sydney is, we have to many people comming in from other international countries and they never took the road test nor do they practice how to drive in Australia and yet they get away with it becuase they have a licence from overseas.

Hello FYI a few corrections it’s 100 m you are allowed to travel in a bus lane for not 200 , and only if turning in to out of a driveway / street ! in the video the driver turned into a normal lane then drove into a bus lane ! not allowed to do that , so this was a sign of BAD driving :)
