11:23 Merc drivers will push in anywhere, any time simply BECAUSE they drive a Merc. I had this happen to me at a dotted line marked merge. I was in the right hand lane and a desicated old hag in a convertible Merc with the top down was in the left lane and proceeded to shove her way into my lane despite the dotted line. She didn't even LOOK at me, just started to come across until I gave her a blast from my horn, I think I took a couple of years off her life, not that she had many left anyway from the look of her. They all seem to be the same, "I drive a Merc, the rest of you plebs get out of my way".

@@AnotherDoug gender not so much but age definitely, and I should know, I'm halfway between 60 and 70. I rode motorcycles for 35 years until an old couple in a Merc ran me off the road into a tree. Most of my early riding years were in a major city and I quickly learned to avoid Mercs, Audi's and especially Volvo's with a bowls hat on the rear parcel shelf. These drivers are absolutely oblivious to others on the road, the brand name on their POS gives them extended rights above other mere mortals on the bitumen. As for the withered old harpie in my original post, well she'd had so many facelifts I doubt she could move more than her eyes anyway, probably why she bought a Merc, elevated rights making up for the fact that she couldn't drive a toothpick into a turd let alone a vehicle on the road.

A few weeks ago I took out the car I had been restoring for three years. Many hours and much money lavished on my project. Ten minutes into my first drive ever a Boomer leapt right in front of me out of the undergrowth to the side of the road. I just managed to avoid a head on and it scraped down the side of my car. Panels dented and a very expensive wing mirror gone in a nanosecond. My poor project car is back in the garage waiting for my depression to lift to enable me to start again.

The whole 'no U-turns at Traffic Lights' confuses me a little, does every state but Queensland have a law like 'absolutely no U-turns at traffic lights, ever'? and why? seems it would be one of the safest places to perform a U-turn, in Queensland we have a 'no U-turn at lights unless signed' law, and there are signs at various traffic light intersections that say "U-turn permitted".

U-turns at traffic lights are illegal (unless a sign says otherwise) in every State and territory except Victoria. Not sure why but many intersections aren't wide enough to allow u-turns - especially of larger vehicles

Regularly cycle on way to and from work on those roads....same shit just about every time...Brunswick Road is my fave, closely followed by the crossroads on St Georges.

Hi Paul seem a case of lost in translation here , so don't need to review i edited an uploaded and know exactly what it is , what you seem to have misunderstood is the ute is not allowed to do what they did , if you are on a road with a short distance between entering it and wanting to turn and there are in this case 4 lanes and traffic you are not meant to try to cross that many lanes to turn , if the ute driver could no safely and legal move to the left lane to turn then they need to go straight and turn the next left and re join the road they want to get to , they can no stop in a middle lane and block traffic tats law 125 $272 fine and you can NOT start a turn from a non turning lane and turn across muiktple lanes as they did thats law 28 $272 2 points , also if the DC driver was closer to the intersection and the Ute turned in front of him and crash happened the Ute would be at fault and charged with more offences , make sense now ? :)

Such a bad design that corner. Sometimes it looks clear and you go to turn and then a car comes flying around the corner. Just slow down and be patient to buses turning right there. It's not easy for us. On the other hand though that driver had more then enough time to see the dash cam car approaching.

Hi Andy no that's incorrect , just so you're aware all videos are checked before upload and all are correct , i done many videos on the road rules for all states and know all rules in all states , re 16:33 No it is Illegal in WA to do a Uturn at a traffic light unless the there is a sign saying turn turns permitted, this is the same in all states except VIC ! and re the bus clip you refer to again NO , i checked that prior to upload and confirmed that was not a White B light but a Green round light for traffic in the other direction , that why when the second bus goes from the right the was not light change if you look again ! see link and Thanks for your comment kzread.info/dash/bejne/pZOepLeupt3fmqw.html

Ho Raymon no that’s no the point of a roundabout , that’s a misconception that’s has gone around m the point of a Roundabout is to give equal priority to all entries by making you give way to traffic already in the roundabout so that the side roads have traffic flow equator the main road , that’s way roundabouts are used where T intersections don’t work , to push in and not give way therefore defeats the purpose of the roundabout:)

Unless the cam car(6:16) is driving a truck or semi HE TO is committing a road traffic infraction as there is space for a car between the limit line and the "keep clear" area and therefore impeding traffic, sorry but that is one of the biggest pet peeves with driver stopping half a car or more away

I think this is a perspective problem with the camera. He went right up to the line. You can see at 6:14 the line aligns with the barrier on the median strip and when he stops the barrier is right next to the front right hand corner of his vehicle

@@AnotherDoug at the point at which the other car is AT the "limit line" is more than legal to even bother with the legality's of the rear end of the CAR impeding traffic design for the "keep clear" area - the "F" that is an BROKEN line just in front of the cam car, the "Limit line" is the big SOLID line that EVERY SINGLE traffic lights in Australia have (perspective, you must be a flat earther)

@@paulwilliams5208 See question by @John T. elsewhere in these comments. Scotts Car Cameras replied that cam car is towing a trailer and couldn't move up to the "limit line" as he would have blocked the Keep Clear section
