Those poppers look great Lyle. That mixture would be great for filling baked potatoes as well.

Those looked really good! I could see using the leftovers for cheeseburger egg rolls. My kids would eat those up!

I can't wait to try out this recipe. I love butternut squash and am going to try stuffing that and will probably use and dice bacon ends and pieces to sauté (and drain so I can use the fat for pound cake or other cooking) so that bacon ends up in the cheeseburgers. Definitely a mixture that can be used for all kinds of things! It would be fun too to mix any leftover mixture with leftover mashed potatoes to make the deep fried potato balls I've seen in a different video of yours! I've watched a bunch of your videos and I really enjoy them! You mention your using a Cajun barbecue sauce in this video and in the potato ball video (which is great) you mention a dill ranch sauce you make for those. If you could also give us a sauce creation part of the videos I think it would be awesome but I don't know how other viewers feel, just throwing it out there! Thank you for all your videos!

The pickles were an interesting add to this. I think I will Hippify this and make some of those stuffed red peppers. Safe travels.

Welcome back! Interesting recipe. I would have thought that 250 oven would not be high enough temp to cook the bacon! We will have to give it a try! Thanks for sharing!

Working prep in a kitchen we'd often cook bacon at that temperature for (if I remember correctly) 45 minutes to an hour. We'd do this at that temperature because we'd also use the same oven to prep daily desserts like Crème Brûlée or cooking fruit pies. 250° is also a good temperature for cooking root vegetables into a hash, steaming a pilaf or finishing a risotto, roasting garlic or peppers, I could go on and on. Reflecting on it, it's kind of funny how breakfast and dessert items can be cooked at the same temperature. Also great video, glad to have found this channel.
