I'm not a fan of this "genre" of boy band, but I've never run into a Backstreets Boys song that I turned off, and that's something. They're not MY thing, but they're talented AF. Those harmonies are TEXTBOOK. Cannot complain. It's just not a song I'd go and say "that's what I need to hear today." But if it came on, I'd probably go "Huh. Didn't know I needed to hear that today." Haha!

Ok, so you've done Quit Playing Games, I Want It That Way, Everybody, As Long As You Love Me and Shape of My Heart. Next I would suggest Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely, Larger Than Life, The One, Drowning and Incomplete.

You mentioned how tight their harmonies are and, it's funny, I was thinking while I was watching this video how many times you see Kevin harmonizing with AJ's solo. One thing I didn't realize until years later when Kevin took a few years off from the band is that he's kinda the secret MVP of their harmonies (partially because he's the only baritone). He's basically the one keeping the harmony together most of the time and the one who most often harmonizes with the soloist. BSB did okay when he was gone but, they definitely used to struggle performing certain songs when Kevin wasn't there. I could hear the difference immediately in their live performances when he finally rejoined the band a couple years ago.

Reminds me of Boyz II Men. As great as they were as a trio, too me they never sounded the same after Mike left. I didn't realize how important his voice was until he left the group and when the remaining three sung, you knew a sound was missing.

Always been a big fan of Kevin, his sound complements the others so well, i thought he was underrated but in reality he was the key that harmonized the group, well said swiftfox.

I'm not really a fan of boy bands, but I've always enjoyed listening to the Backstreet Boys, especially singing along. They have a lot of great songs. During this pandemic, I've really gotten into them, even buying tickets to see them in concert this year. Hopefully it doesn't get cancelled or postponed again.

Javon - you would LOVE the harmonies in I'll Never Break Your Heart. They are INCREDIBLE. It's my favorite song that they harmonize in. Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely is a little sadder - but very touching song. They are ALL fantastic in it. And The Call is a really fun song and video. Boy bands in general get a really bad rap - but the talent from BSB is just off the charts. They are ALL incredibly talented.

Top 3 BSB song for sure. The harmonies, buildup, transitions, flow, & solos are top notch.

I have to say there is no denying their talent. From their harmonies and each of them have a beautiful vocal abilities.

honestly a lot of their songs have super catchy, amazing harmonies and melodies. for all the parodies they get, their songs are actually just enjoyable to listen to

My favorite BSB song. Beautiful transitioning, and, of course the harmony.

"Show me the meaning of being lonely" is still one of my favourites, please do that next, it's been requested for sooooo long...! Also "Larger than life" is a MUST. They also made a very solid contemporary bop a couple years ago called "Chances". The music video is cool, too, and the guys look very mature and frankly reeeeeally good in that. Add it to your list, will ya?

This is a Max Martin production. The guy has written and produced more hits than anybody. He started out producing and writing for Britney, but has worked with countless pop stars through the last two decades, too many to mention.

My favorite boys band of all time. Of all their songs ,this one I love the most.

How about reacting to some of their newer music such as In A World Like This, Bigger, and Show'em What Your Made Of. I especially like In A World Like This. It kind of showcases Brian Littrell's vocal range - similar to that of Mitch Grassi from Pentatonix. I'm not a huge boy band fan but the melodies and harmonisation is on point, while the lyrics is really catchy and heartfelt with a guy who broke up with his boyfriend/girlfriend because he didn't emotionally let his own guard down. Then, he went all emotional and saying how he could've letted his guard down and show what is inside his heart. The Backstreet Boys did very well with this song.
