It's not sampled from another song, more likely the other way around. Christina Aguileras "Genie in a Bottle" is from 1999. "Shape of My Heart" is from 1993. And yes, that part is very much the same.

The guitarist playing that "sample" is Dominic Miller, the guy who wrote it! You're hearing the original. Everyone else has sampled it from this song. Sting's lyrics are always great, he's a master storyteller. Check out his songs "When We Dance" and "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You" for a couple more brilliant ones. But he's got so many!

Lyrically Sting is one of the best in not only his solo, but his Police writing too. But he is just as prolific in his musical writing.. chord usage, bridge creation, tempo changes, he is genius. Fortress Around Your Heart - is a classic example of all his incredible talents rolled into a 4 minute song.

The chord progression that Dominic Miller made for this song is amazing, it surely inspired Christina Aguilera and many others in their songs. Sting writes all his lyrics, other great lyrics could be High hopes by Pink Floyd (AOL sessions) or Don't belive a word by Thin lizzy, i love the Gary Moore live in Sheffield version.

While a great song, Thats an opinion, & my opinion is that there are many sting songs every bit as amazing, & some even better....& if ur basing ur opinion on the fact that its been "sampled a lot", thats your point of view, but also a pretty weak prerequisite to attaining greatness, any tom, dick & harry can sample something....& also, many god awful & horrible songs have been sampled too. Unless ur cutting a sample up to make a new riff or a new beat, sampling (in my opinion) is a pretty retarded, & lazy practice.

Léon: The Professional[a] is a 1994 English-language French action-thriller film written and directed by Luc Besson. It stars Jean Reno and Gary Oldman, and features the film debut of Natalie Portman. The plot centers on Léon (Reno), a professional hitman who reluctantly takes in twelve-year-old Mathilda Lando (Portman) after her family are murdered by corrupt Drug Enforcement Administration agent Norman Stansfield (Oldman). Léon and Mathilda form an unusual relationship, as she becomes his protégée and learns the hitman's trade. The film was released in France by Gaumont and internationally through Gaumont Buena Vista International on 14 September 1994, and received mostly positive reviews from critics.

Hello Bisscute. What a beautiful song that you have reacted to on this occasion by maestro Sting, it was co-written by guitarist Dominic Miller and features the harmonica played by Larry Adler although I am seeing in the comments that they attribute the harmonica to Brendan Power, so I am a little confused about it. It has been written that Sting explained that through "Shape of My Heart," he wanted to tell the story of a "card player, a player who plays not to win, but to try to discover something, to discover some kind of mystical logic." in luck; some kind of scientific, almost religious law. " I take this opportunity to suggest a reaction from Luis Miguel with a song that probably has the shortest title in the world, it is called: "Y", in particular the official video of this song . Greetings and a hug from Mexico City with the always pleasure of seeing and listening to you.

All these songs have sampled the original of Sting's - Shape of My Heart. Craig David ft. Sting Rise and Fall, Juice WRLD - Lucid Dreams, Sugababes - Shape, NAS - Message, The Roots - Break You Off ft. Musq.

Hey Biss, I got a little something different for you, it’s a band called RMRS (it’s an interesting style they play) and the song is called “pillow” and fun fact, these guys are (well one of them) was a friend of mine at the time and I almost joined the band as a singer but I really think you’ll love them. My buddy is/was the guy playing guitar.
