    Yeah, that pizza was quite the splurge but I knew it would make a forever memory of the trip. I brought the rest home to my family and they had already eaten pizza!

    Great job. It stinks that you were socked in on the Twins…nice views there, too. The rope made me laugh! Never saw it before.

    Thank you for the historical and beautiful video! It took me back to the 70s when I hiked Tuckerman Ravine, Lion's Head, and Boots Spur trails over the years. I have such an affinity for the ravine!! Very exciting that you saw the moose (and handled it well!)! Even at this age, I still have a goal of hiking there again. Thanks again for sharing. Love your videos! 😍

    Glad you enjoyed it! When I am out there I often stop and think about the generations of people. We each go out and discover it all over again.

    That's a unique way to tag the Bonds. Like you way you went (more potential views) and a night at Guyot campsite better than the all day suffer fest doing Lindon Woods to all 3 bonds and back in 1 long day. Glad the trails were less muddy/wet for you guys (I did the all day thing 2 weeks back and the water/mud on trail and challenging water crossings really slowed things down). Really like your many videos to the huts and now camp sites. They provides a nice preview to all when we go there after you.

    Thanks for the excellent comment. Yes, I see many suffer-fest people out there. I admire that style. But at this point in the aging process, I cherish the slower pace, more meals, sleep, and water opportunities.

    Thanks. Yeah, it's far out there. I need to get to Owl's Head at some point and that endless Lincoln Woods trail is hard to sign up for again.

    You were very blessed to have such a beautiful second day, though you had to pay for it! I did the Bonds 2 weeks later and all I saw was the inside of a cloud for 20 feet in every direction. The blueberries were still ripe and tasty. And what a hoot! Guess what I was thinking of all the way down from Bondcliff....pizza!

    I was doing the Kinsmans on 8/1 and saw those jets too. Did you see the gliders as well? They were flying around Franconia Notch. What a day of weather it was!

    I wasn't sure if I saw a glider or not. I might have been back in the trees when the gliders were out. Yes, the best weather that day!

  • @RachelWhelton

    @RachelWhelton

    Yeah, the Bonds because they represented impossibilities overcome. I always wanted to see Guyot and that camping experience was great. Anywhere with an overnight is so cool because you get more time out there, plus sunset and sunrise, and more food. The hut experiences were also very memorable. I'd go back to any hut.

    It was El Greco Pizza. Popular place! I don't usually go for huge foods but I knew it would make for a special memory to end the hike. Plus, I brought home leftovers to the family. Tasty stuff.
