Surely in the last question 13/7 6/5 is also a correct answer as there are also no throws that miss saving a gammon.

I chickened out of the “banana split “ in Q8 - I should have remembered at DMP to make the move that gives the best winning chances 😊. Great video & I managed 7. I’ll share the link on my backgammon club group page North East Backgammon Association .

Thank you. In a nutshell, I would say in the opening game, slot when you want more gammons or you are duplicating 4s. Later in the game, slot in front of stripped points so you force the opponent to break them if they choose to hit. There's more to it but that's an indication.

I'm surprised by the scoring on this. I did terrible but on BG and against SG I average Advanced to Expert. I think this test is harder than it should be.

Loved the videos dan was a pretty good test how many did you get btw and do you think could you found the 5 2 banana split in a match it is so complicated

The 52 split is difficult but it's a score thing. I doubt I would have got these all right. Thanks for watching :)

It’s official…I am one step below beginner…I got a goose egg…I thought I was going to get 2, maybe 3…every position was very challenging to me…quite dejecting on my part…just when I thought I was learning the basics…oh well…I guess it’s back to the drawing board…one thing though, at least I know how to rank my backgammon knowledge…zero/ sub-beginner. Thanks anyway, Dan…I’m still grateful for your excellent videos…just very humbled…damnation.

Wow Dan. Im am intermediate advanced player been playing for over 25 yrs but only got 4 correct here. I'm embarrassed. IIm better than that. Anyays lots to still learn and get better at. tricky positions 4 sure. Keep it up.
