7:30 This position is not an opening reply, you did put an extra checker on 8 for green (13->8). This change best play (would have been 13/11* 24/20 without modification) and is quite interesting.

Thanks for noticing. The correct play is 24/20 13/11* with three on green's 8 point. It is worth noting that the two-down play as an opening reply results in 3% more gammons which, despite being a small 0.011 error, would be preferable at certain match scores.

These vids are great. I’d love to use your playlist to go through them in order but I see that the playlist is missing some of them (e.g., Lesson 3) and many of them are out of order. Would you mind fixing that when you get a minute?

Thank you. Lesson 3 is titled "common errors". I have sorted them by date on the playlist so hopefully you can now view them in order.

I get confused by that first position you showed. I find my self in this position often enough. I understand wanting to fight for your 5 point but it seems when ever I do this I get hit by on of the two checkers as they come back in the board. This then sets me way back and I am at a large disadvantage being over 11 pips down from the starting position. What are the odds of getting hit VS not when the come back on the board? What are the odds of winning if they hit VS I’d they don’t?

I would suggest entering the position on XG. You'll be able to see the winning percentages after different scenarios. You can also bring up the 36 dice rolls on Google and see how many hit. A single number will be 11, but there are also combinations. For instance, 6 away is 17 shots. It's a good exercise in shot counting. Good luck.
