It is a classic. I personally prefer Raiders Of The Lost Ark but the best time period for movies is from Jaws to Jurassic Park, Or about 1975 to 1995, plenty of great movies came out before and after that time period but so many great movies came out during the 70's 80's and 90's.
It's always cool to see that Huey Lewis himself had a cameo as the judge with the megaphone to reject Marty McFly and the band despite actually creating the song for the movie. Awesome attention to detail from the director and writers. Love this movie!

There is so much about this film that I missed growing up, like how it is basically a socioeconomic commentary on the 1980s. All the graffiti on the school (that isn’t there in ‘55), the decrepit downtown, etc. It’s a remarkably deep film and chooses to show many things rather than simply tell them - a sign of excellent filmmaking. And this 4K version really reveals all of those little details.

I know you commented this 2 years ago but I thank you for the review, I am in my mid 30's so I grew up with the movies and I'm happy to see your dad instilled in you such a great franchise, it's one of those franchises that actually gets better with age as you understand the plot and characters more. The technology is the only dated thing in the movie but even that has a certain charm.

Just watched all 3 episodes again cause recently i broke my hand so i have some more time to spend on watching movies and i just can't find words on how amazing this trilogy is. It really took me back to my childhood when everything was much simpler and more "magical" This piece of art will stay as one of my all time favourites forever.

I Really Wish to God I could Return to the 80s and get out of the wasted and Mundane times of Today 😢🙏🌹🕊⭐💫
James Tolkan a very underrated actor for sure. He and Fox where never ment to get that close and touch noses while arguing, but Speilberg said it added a "realism" to the scene so they went with it. It's a crucial scene as "Strickland" See's Marty in the same eyes he saw his dad. The "Burger King" is in Burbank, CA Even though it's been remodeled it's still a popular tourist destination. 😎👍
Timeless and epic what more can be said about the greatest trilogy. They will teach this in film school someday. We made it to 2022 somehow.
I would open a cinema theatre licensed to play just BTTF trilogy 😍

@tsorf Most definitely. I've watched BTTF at a drive in movie and it was incredible
I love that in 30 years, Strickland looks the damn same. "History is gonna change" - don't we all wish we could go back and change stuff?!
Saw this 40.000 times the amplifier scene. Laughing like the first time. Perfect from perfection.
the best opening beginning of any film, a masterpiece of "show don't tell"
This opening scene tells you everything you need to know for the movie
I have never in my life noticed the paper guy hanging from the desk clock in the very beginning, foreshadowing events to come, until just now
James Tolken, always played hardasses on screen, one of the nicest people IRL. Same w/ Tom "Biff" Wilson, he's a really good guy :)
I love how he says how historys going to change which Is forshadowing
This is literally the most-impressive opening sequence I’ve EVER seen... For an 80’s blockbuster, that is.
The 2k bluray remaster looks stunning, almost as though the film was made this year. That's good enough for me and those who don't have a super sized tv screen.
Power of Love is still the jam!!!
The details of the events (major van, clock tower flyer, plutonium news in tv, Huey Lewis cameo, etc) are like an 8-bit computer adventure game, i.e. Monkey Island or Maniac Mansion; you enjoy watching them but they turn crucial after the puzzle starts to come into shape
Bob Gale has stated that this movie couldn’t be made today as people would look too deep into the relationship between Doc and Marty saying you have a creepy 60 year old guy with a minor
8:19 is the ancestor of that famous boyfriend cheating meme we see all the time
Oh I love the 80s. The 80s was the best time of my life, and it brings me a lot of memories. Wish I could go back.
Great memories with this movie. I seen it so many times and never get tired of watching it.
As I type this, this 4K clip has 4K likes! Yay! And when I was 13, watching this in the cinema, oh, how I wanted to be as cool as Marty McFly. It looked awesome.

I basically started skateboarding and years later a friend of mine got a '87 Toyota SR5 4x4 like McFly's. They used real pro skateboarders as stunt doubles without too much fake Hollywoood stuff, and turned a lot of kids onto the sport. The Freddy Got Fingered Mall Skate Scene was influenced by this movie also (it's in the director's commentary).
This trilogy always been my favorite.
You can't even count the details and hints to later events and quotes, depicted in the clock-flooded intro sequence, starting with the legendary Harold Lloyd-clock scene from "Safety first"
I always wanted to see Doc Brown's reaction to the aftermath of Marty playing his guitar through the amplifier and speaker.

Amazing my God. This movie was from 1985 never know it in million year's. Picture looks amazing!!!!!
I had pre-ordered the steelbook version and was looking forward to this, after watching this clip I'm looking forward to watching the trilogy even more now, it looks like a excellent 4K remaster.
Absolutely fantastic movie. I saw it when it first came out and it's just as good today...in fact, obviously, the color and sound are better. This movie will never die.

Amazing restoration - it actually looks like film stock now, unlike the 2010 Blu-ray.
All this time (no pun intended), I now realize that Doc setting all his clocks to run 25 minutes slow was a foreshadowing stepping stone to his next experiment when he sends Einstein one minute into the future in The DeLorean.
The colors and sharpness are fantastic! So glad I've pre-ordered these months ago, the first time I will own my favorite movie!
I watched this movie so many times. Every take in this introduction has a meaning and is there for a reason. A lot of information is given but in a gently and cinematic way. And the music, please! By the way, I still want that skateboard.
My vision is trash (considering I have to where glasses). But I can tell they did a good job on the 4K restoration, good job Universal!

one of the best movie opening Scenes ive ever witnessed !
When you can mouth out every single line in a movie…
This brings tears of joy to my eyes. I remember going to a friend's home back in 80s just to see his whole family watching this movie. Such a perfect world.
I revisit this film and the entire trilogy multiple times a year, and yet I always enjoy it every time, the first film in particular is what I call a perfect film, pacing is pitch perfect and the story and characters are so well realised😍😍

I agree. I'm 40 now and love all types of films but this one has remained in my top 3 forever. This is better than The Godfather because of the joy and fun had when watching it and kids can enjoy it too. Everything about this film is amazing.
There is no fat on this film, every scene has a purpose, every set up has a pay off.

There are some forms of art, like classical music, that can only be created in a particular era. This is one of them. A perfect introduction scene.
