It has been almost a month since I saw this movie in Dundrum in Dublin, and I’m still thinking about it. Seeing Amy Winehouse’s story and unfortunate downfall really resonates with me. Seeing the sweet relationship she had with her grandmother touched my heart considering my own nana who I was also very close with died a few weeks before this came out. I never thought I would have so much in common with Amy Winehouse. This has also led to me falling in love with her, for better or worse. Despite all her mental problems, Amy was such an amazing, beautiful and talented singer and it breaks my heart that she is no longer with us. I think we all deserve a woman like Amy in our lives. While I do see why people say that it could have covered a bit more of her story, I still think this movie did her justice and is a beautiful tribute to this beautiful artist that I wish was still alive. I’ll see you in heaven Amy. I love you. 🖤

The film's already released in the UK (in my area), and it's absolutely fantastic. 😢

Beat film i have ever watched she is still missed to this day such a lost when tears dry on their own played slow i cried 😢

At first I was afraid this movie would not be real but when I watched it, I was impressed. I felt close to her. I was so sad to what happened to her and I finally UNDERSTOOD what actually lead her to that stage.. anyway! Very good movie and rest in peace Amy. You were a wonderful human being and Marvellous singer.

Well, I just got home from watching this movie and first of all RIP Amy. I wish I could have known you much better but I feel like I have watching this movie. I'm not the negative part, but your positivity. Was that a sudden done I can't believe that there was only 4 of us to go see that whole movie. Apparently from what my friend manager said at the theater, everybody's going to see planet of the Apes, which I don't Mac. It was a good movie, but that seems to be pulling away from other movies such as this one and this is such a touching movie. This was a premiere showing the actual movie. Comes out tomorrow, but I get to see all the movies before they come out and actually glad I did. It's a bit depressing but still, I'm glad I saw it and I give it a 13 out of 13 skulls and I highly recommend you to go see it too great music, a great story, a bit depressing? But a great story still nonethelesso 13 out of 13 skulls again. RIP a me. I wish I would have known you.

The sad thing of it is if she had just gone to detox instead of trying cold turkey, she’d be alive. I’m so proud of the fact that she had decided to quit drinking, but alcohol withdrawal is dangerous. And you do need a doctor to get through it safely.

They need to let her rest but I get the idea of what they did it tells the story of what the world didn't know about Amy winehouse

@ericmilian4779 Good point! We tend to forget that. That's how our crazy world is. I have had so many of my colleagues or family tell me, for example, "You should be a preacher. Or you should go to medical school. Those things weren't something that I was interested in. So many also forget that going into such an emotional acting role and putting themselves in the character's shoes, or life, that's a lot of work. It's a lot of preparation that goes into the role. It is so true that the person will have to want to do it. Just like Jen Hudson was happy to do the Aretha movie. 🙏

Tattooes and piercings are taboo, they imply an association with illicit activities, including but not limited to gang membership. People always regret getting their tattooes/ piercings. The "19" neon sign implies the age of consent. Nineteen is still a teenager, teenagers are children. The age of consent should be 25. Ages 20-25 are for pursuing higher education, people at these ages shouldn't be worried about having sex. The performance scenes imply oral sex, that's disgusting. There's repeated shots from the first trailer, that's unprofessional. I wouldn't watch this movie. Zero stars.
