I saw it and there are scenes where you could swear it is Amy on screen for a second. Marisa did her justice.

I think she portrayed Amy very very well tbh. Her voice, her mannerisms, everything was on point, she did such a good job. I'm really excited to see her in more movies/series, she's really talented!

Please don't do this. There is a very big distinction between the word dislike and hate. Each word is characterized by the emotion it is fueled with. There is NO "hatred" here. There are many people that do not believe she did Amy Justice and there are many people who did not like the film in general and others who did not like her singing. While yes there are others who do, and like it very much. That doesn't mean that those who do not are being hateful. Every one is entitled to their own opinion in this world. A mere disagreement or dislike does not equate to opinion made with disdain. You are entitled to love it and praise it just as the next person is entitled to dislike it.

saw the film yesterday, and I have to say Marisa is so talented and she is really great in this movie!

Just came home from watching the movie and wow, made me cry 😢 she was a real artist and I'm so happy they bought this to the big screen.

Went to watch it last night, wow!!!! She needs to win an award! Brilliant acting!

Saw it last night and it was amazing 😭. Cried a quite a bit, especially the relationship with her Naan.

She was absolutely brilliant in the role and her singing was spot on.

SHE NAILED IT.

Saw it today. She was superb, simple as that. The subtle little moves while singing, that somewhat awkward dancing Amy did on stage - she was a fabulous singer but one thing she wasn't was a trained dancer - and Marisa caught that brilliantly. As for the singing; Amy Winehouse has a unique and instantly recognisable vocal style and Marisa came very very close at times to capturing that. So much so that, unless you've listened really closely to Amy singing these songs and you've noted all the subtle nuances of her phrasing and delivery you'd be hard pushed at times to tell the difference. An award-worthy performance and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves.

casting directors should get awards. Marisa is Amy. I am usually such a critic but this time no. I saw Amy live and Marisa had her off to a tee. She had me captured from the beginning. A great talent and wish her the best of luck for the future. I think she''ll win awards for this. love and light

Marisa is a goddess she's painfully gorgeous her smile is killer, I watched the film yesterday and her performance was phenomenal, I'd never heard of Marisa before but after yesterday I'm instant fan of hers

She did SO well in this movie. She's a great actress and she really embodied Amy and her feelings and mannerisms fantastically. She must be very proud of herself ❤

As a huge Amy fan I was worried I wouldn't enjoy this and that the performance wouldn't capture Amy especially the voice but I take it back. This performance was fantastic. Her voice was so so good

I saw the film yesterday and it was Amazing! There were times were she almost looked identical to Amy and she sounded great. I know this films getting a lot of stick and bad feedback but it’s honestly such a great biopic. I went into this loving Amys music but not know much about her, it was so sad but told beautifully. People saying “oh cast Raye, Lady Gaga instead!” NO ONE will ever beat Amy Winehouse, she was her own person her own voice. I think Marisa did an amazing job at portraying her. Definitely go and watch this film

In some scenes they did a great job of making her look like Amy, i watched the movie on the 17th april it was very enjoyable to watch if you like amys music then defo go watch.

Good film. Needed to be longer though just to expand on aspects more. The musical pieces are excellent. Relationships complex over a glossy image. Songs sounds great on cinema speakers.

Totally agree. Thought it was a very watchable film with some great performances and musical moments. The framing of Amy's experiences did lack depth and nuance in places, but I think this version tells a specific story, rather than offer a complete introspection
