What I love about Micky Flanagan is has working class heritage, the higher education he had ... yet his real life observations he can put into humerus accounts ... a good fella !!!
Love Mickey. Even though I grew up on a council estate in Dublin in the 80s, everything his says is 100% relatable.

I love this guy. He's hilarious but also such a lovely man.
He had such a typical east end or "estuary" upbringing and to me that's why he's so relatable. I've lived abroad now for about 10 years (no I'm not on the run) and it feels like home to just hear him talk about bunking off school, the characters in the pub who just got out of prison and stripper's pubs in Shoreditch.

Yep,I no this area well,my oldest sister lived opp that boozer(for many yrs) and I worked in two other nearby pubs,(while at school-it was good money!-no Pocket money "dished out" in those days by very frugal Irish ☘️ Parents)So I can def recognise his "tales of the unexpected"..But this version of "The Birdcage"looks alot nicer..As does the whole area,so much so I hardly recognise these places..
I grew up in a council flat in Walthamstow. Fortunately, it was some flats on it’s own, opposite Epping forest, and our neighbours were all elderly. We had one warm room, the living room. My bedroom had ice on the inside of the windows during winter. Freezing. I live in Australia now. I do miss my fellow Eastenders.
Love Mickey . I grew up on a council estate nothing wrong with that whatsoever but what he takes about on stage is spot on.
The great thing about watching this is , how proud he is telling the story . Pretty special

This man is the best comedian EVER because he's so down to earth and a really nice man ...and his humour is amazing
Lovely seeing the manor and your history. Love a self made man. Your a true star with a fantastic sense of humour. Keep on making us laugh x
I respect you for not doing more shows, we all have our demons but I fucking love everything you have done and watch it over and over. You make my wife and I cry with laughter whenever we feel down.. love you!

Really enjoyed that. More please. One of the best is Micky.
Love him - always makes me laugh out loud.
What a refreshing insight - I personally consider Micky and Keven (Bridges) two of the worlds most amusing comedians ever, (I accept this is personal taste) - but this interview showed me what Micky is - a truly wonderful person at heart - but often misunderstood I am sure.
Cant get enough of Flannigan. Great Guy

That takes me back the Birdcage pub, we used to drink in there about 35 years ago with my workmates from Fraser and Fraser boilermakers 😀
Love your humour Micky, and how you see the world😊👍
Absolute legend 👍🏽
I do hope Hutton achieved his dream! 😄😄😅
I love to take my dad to see you live . I've seen you once with my girlfriend Garrat and you where f*^king brilliant , we laughed our arses off. The bit about you painting and decorating and putting your foot through a ceiling nearly made me have heart attack 😂
I grew up on the edge of Essex near London but spent my early adult years all round the Bethnal Green and went to Mare st college , every weekend spent around this area and still even now, i then ended up many many years later as a copper in Tower hamlets which I never would have believed I'd end up doing when I was an 18 yr old!! I love seeing Mickey walking around my old stomping ground too, it brings back so many memories as I''m only a year older than him and that whole area was very different back in the late 70's through the 80's. I suspect at some point we were in the same pub at the same time! Still my first choice for a good night out and hopefullt again soon when we get some kind of 'normal' again! Love and peace to all.
Ha, Ha, Ha! - lived just off Columbia Road - Micky got me with the 'Careers Officer! - remember when I was asked I told him I wanted to be an Octopus Wrestler or a submarine washer!!!!
Loved this
