this is not the only road legal single seater ... many years ago a german turned a real F3 car into a road legal car. It was his real racer that he wanted to drive on public roads after he retired. Big different between the Mono and road legal F3... the F3 still have all the wings and all the downforce..

what happens if you increase the down force let's say up to 900kg max (similar to the radical rxc v8), and power up to 500bhp, and still keep it mono. Will it be still road legal? (maybe add an composite glass cover like jet fighter)

This thing looks like the Sears Allstate Special Indy car of the 60s. Pretty cool but it needs a 4" rise clear windshield that wraps around the cockpit. It will add a little more protection from things slamming into your face at speed.

JWH91969 You must be crazy. Anything over 40mph will smack you in the face. Not to mention a stonechip or other road debris hurtling towards you. Have you ever actually tried driving something like this without a helmet. I have a flip up that converts into an open face in one motion and I can tell you the number of times I've gone from open to fully closed to avoid debris, and barely missed stones clinking off the face of the helmet. This is so low to the ground that there is even more chance of that. No helmet (or facewear)? I don't think so.

***** I've been on bikes and don't get me wrong I like bikes, a lot, but I like cars too. For me at least, I don't ride bikes on the road, too many idiots, but I ride them on tracks and the experience of getting down low in a corner and feeling the whole thing rotate around you through weight transfer is something a car can never replicate. But when it comes to pure excitement and speed, for me at least, I still prefer cars. This is especially evident when driving off-road, you could never get a bike to go 130 mph on dirt with slight ruts. Just my personal opinion.

***** DOT standards in Europe are a bit complicated. Each country may have its set of standard and bureaucratic processes to certify that a car - or a car series - is street legal. UK, having quite a bit of very small volume specialty car makers, has something like a "single make" homologation, which is fairly non binding. It mandates a minimum height, the lights, and the car not being actively dangerous. On the other hand of the spectrum, countries like Italy have byzantine and convoluted bureaucracies and sets of rules - like U.S. D.O.T, but with a sadistic twist - that killed every specialty car maker back in the second half of the '80s (to be honest, and speaking as an Italian, it was probably just another frigging bit of help to Fiat... the car they made back then were so crappy, you could do better in your own garage with a handsaw and some plywood; fast forward, and now FIAT menace to move the headquartes to Holland, for its low corporate taxes and faster bureaucracy and homologation procedures). The funny thing is that you can buy a "single make" in UK, and then bring it home, almost everywhere in Europe, with it just being inspected to ascertain that it is not "actively dangerous".
