Is there an online channel where you can watch season one for free? Only season two is available in Discovery+. It would also be nice if they make Orangutan Island and Orangutan Diary available in any of the accessible online channels.

Imagine how many babys the farmers had when they started clear cutting & before all these rehab places popped up.. look how many they are still getting I bet one farmer was smuggling 2-4 a week most likely going to Russia. The farmers eyes were $$$$$ when they found out was a market for baby orangs

Why are they in small cages with so many orangutans?

Luckily Cinta didn't have a stick with her

I get that some of them have distinct markings or physical features (Benny the chunky boy) but surely not all of them are easily identifiable. How do you tell them apart?

An adult male can weigh 130 kg. The adult females only 37 kg.

There are no sticks for Cinta to throw to scare mum off.

Beni got that American DNA...my man Beni...lil dude is too cute...

They are so bloody sweet! The way they vocaise things is lovey! But why do the caregivers hardly pick them up and hold them (rotating the caregivers around so they don't get too attached)? Children orangutans (especially the babies, less so as they get older) are almost always clutching mum (for practical reasons but also for comfort) or being hugged or stroked. I'm not trying to say that it's wrong or anything I'm genuinely curious.

My dreams

They are our relatives who will get the right to live in their habitat. Hopefully in the future there will still be habitat left for them to live naturally 😘

Otan penyingkatan yg tepat menurut siapa? Ada kesepakatan bersama? Penyingkatan b inggris ga asal enak disebut kayak b indonesia, contoh: rudal (peluru kendali), kadis (kepala dinas), cipularang, dst. Lebih banyak ke penyingkatan (pemendekan) suku kata, contoh: lab, promo, fridge, dst ya termasuk orangutan jd orang. Orangutan b indonesia, b inggrisnya ya orangutan lah, emang apa? Sama kayak rambutan emang b inggrisnya jd hairy fruit? 😅

It's a night cage just for sleeping. They spend the majority of their daytime in the jungle. If you watched closely, there are tyre swings in the cages so they can choose where they want to sleep.

They are taught and helped to be released onto protected land. They can't be released as babies with no survival skills

one good tip if they are being difficult to weigh is to weigh your self then pick up the little ones then weigh both of you together then deduct your weight thats what i do with my dog
