I'm a teacher too and my kids have "ruined" so many names haha love them but I can't use those names now.

I love old fashion names. I named my three daughters Ruby, Alice, Iris. Pearl was also top on my list.

My friend named his daughter "Camryn" for Cameron Indoor Stadium. (He's a HUGE Duke fan!)

‘Hey Jude’ is actually in reference to a boy! Paul McCartney wrote it for John Lennon’s son, Julian, after his parents divorce.❤️ Suuuch a cute name for a boy!!

It is so interesting what different people perceive as unique names. I run a baby name account on Instagram and all of these names are either already in the top 50 or climbing in popularity! These are all such great names though! I love Willow and Sage! I think they are beautiful nature names.

Unique now perhaps, but I am a teacher and so I see a lot of names come through and these I have never had yet! But yea a lot are using them now, which is why I am glad we did not.

Evelyn is quite a popular name. I know several young girls with it. Vintage name are definitely rising as are nature and flower names. If you want a name that’s not to popular but not to ‘unique ‘ look up the top fifty names for 2021 so far and pick a name that falls between ten and twenty most popular on the list.

My son’s name is Jude!! , I love it and I’ve actually never heard anyone say it’s a girls name haha. The song “hey Jude” is actually written for John Lennon’s son whose name is Julian and the original lyric was “hey Jules” and they changed it cause Jude sounded better. Definitely a boy name! Jude is also a biblical name aka St. Jude :) would be cute for a girl name though!

Noah is an awesome name, I knew a girl Cameron and I loved her name!

Oh my gosh I am cracking up because you guys sound exactly like me and my husband! he’s always saying “that’s not a name!” 😂 I love all of the ones on your list! Violet is actually our number one name we have picked out if we ever have a girl! I loveee boy names on girls too 👌🏻 we literally almost named waylon, tucker. Evelyn is my daughters name 🥰 we call her Eevee (pronounced E-V) I had it picked out since I was a teenager! My husband and I differ alot of names, but I was so happy he loved it just as much as me! My son is Ronan as well! We like unique/uncommon names too! I also loved Hudson, but my husband didnt like it! Haha

A classic name dilemma! I thought Michelle your boy names were going to be way more “out there” (honestly thought Fox would be on your list!). I suggest you look for names with nature meanings that sound traditional/classic. Eg.: Torrin which means little hills or from the hills, Lynnea which means lime tree but this spelling refers to the flower, or Beaumont (or Beau for short) which means beautiful mountain. I also love biblical nature-inspired names like Shepard, Eden, Leo, Stella, and Calum [kay-lum]

Hudson is definitely a name lol. The river is literally named after Henry Hudson. So it’s a last name but definitely a name

There are definitely more unique out there. I tried to find ones that my husband also would enjoy and he likes very traditional names

We went with unique names for our kids. We named our son Leland and our daughter Tru. 😊 We had our list of names but we didn't pick their names til after they were born. We both couldn't agree on their names til that day. Lol

If you teach teenagers, it's not a surprise you did not have a student named Noah (yet). If you like Noah but think it's too common, maybe Jona(h) could be a name you like. (Same sounds, also from the bible, less common ^^)

Our last name is Lee and our top girl name has always been Noah Rose ❤️ but with Noah being #2for boys rn I wouldn’t want her to share a name with the boys in her class:/

Top 100 names are too common imo so Willow, Violet, Evelyn (Eleanor is another similar name) are all common in my book. I'm like you and my bf is like your husband. Love nature inspired names like Willow and Sage but also like very unique names like Lark (not listed in the top.1000), or Meadow (which has gotten significantly more popular but still very) uncommon. Or other uncommon names like Tabitha, or Vesper. Idk why but I too hate Camilla. I like all your boy names especially Tucker and Jude!
