@@Synthetic-Rabbit That’s irrelevant. No matter who you are education is important. He still needs to develop reading and writing skills, and you can’t do that as a dropout. Let’s say Nicky wants to write his own Jiu-Jitsu book, he can’t do that with less than a 9th grade writing ability. Learning is a lifelong endeavor, that’s why people like Kevin Garnett took college classes after signing a $126 million contract.

He goes on his own war, but his tribe doesn’t really side with the U.S. military or Vietcong. Basically he’s a nutcase broken by the evil actions made by the U.S. military and Vietcong respectively and decides himself to go on a rampage killing and torturing people against his tribe. Despite what I’m telling you; the film isn’t actually really about the Vietnam war at all and is more to do with good vs evil, genius vs insanity, it’s really worth a watch. Rumors had it that one of the key issues for the split was due to splitting of the rent when big gord passed away. I’ve seen it was brought up many times in the past but it was something about the split of living expenses between those who were staying with Gordon Ryan that either created or added more issues for the team. You kind of have to read in-between the lines. Craig says he left *with* Nicky/backed him. That plus some other interviews definitely makes it seems like it was something between him and Gordon. I doubt Danaher was really involved. Dude lives BJJ and it seems like he only acknowledges the drama insofar as he feels it will affect competitive performance. As for the what lit the conflict who knows… I feel like in the DDS you’re either super chill or have the social IQ of an insecure middle schooler. Add in some steroids and honestly it was only a matter of time.

@Kodiak Combat Collective are saying that B Team has increased Danaher’s rate of innovation? Maybe that was a typo in your comment. Either way, Danaher’s innovation is to leapfrog people’s training to reach a goal. Case in point, Bodoni and Meregali. Their quick improvement is in direct correlation to the way Danaher teaches. That is something I’m not seeing from the B team guys. Danaher said it himself that B team is still using his system so they don’t really need him, BUT they aren’t getting any new information from him, coaching, tactics, etc. So, I disagree with your opinion of my comment being myopic. And Danaher isn’t an infallible god…but currently he is the best Jiujitsu coach of this era. I doubt that can be disputed.

I’m late to the party, but here’s my guess about what happened. If Gordon is even half as cocky on the training mats as he his on social media, he probably couldn’t handle Nicky Ryan getting good and stealing some of his thunder. He was so desperate to be the best that he was willing to shit on his own brother in the process. It’s cool that he won ADCC 3x in a row, but it’s truly unfortunate that his own brother wasn’t there to cheer him on. My brother and I are the same age gap as Nicky and Gordon, and I’d be devastated if my brother wasn’t in my corner. Gordon Ryan strikes me as someone who is financially successful, but it ends there.

The fact that Gordon's cocky persona has hurt your fragile ego to the point where you have to come up with these kinda bizzare explanations in order to attack his character is honestly pathetic. Multiple people who are close to Gordon and have trained with him have already come out and said that just like Danaher, his online person is nothing like he's in real life. He seems to actually be a pretty chill and humble dude behind the cameras.
