I dont think you realize, cars that dont struggle with grip, dont need race tires. I understand fm has newer tire physics which change the way they act and race tires in this case are good for a variety of race builds, but at lower classes with lower power cars, it really doesnt matter and is just a waste of pi points that could be used to make the car better/faster, I personally would spend the pi points on more power, just cuz power in fm rules all classes, the more power you have generally the better you will do. Thank you for not listening to my unnecessary rant.

Power over grip is best for most online race as it is harder to sense grip than speed in games.

Most of the fun in racing games for me is making the least amount of grip possible competitive. Yeah it means you gotta relearn braking zones and manage traffic differently but it’s so rewarding when you string together a solid race

Ariel Atom, I demoted one in class s1 just two days ago, really fun vehicle. on the other hand we can see that it is not at all the same classification system S2-fh5 a B in Fm lol surely more viable in the latter 😄

Depends on the car but generally if you can install them without the need of using ballast then it is usually better.

I played motorsport religiously for the first couple months. Mastered tuning and driving. And just stopped playing. I went back to fh5, i just enjoy the online racing more there i guess. 🤷‍♂️

Most Japanese care aren't powerful enough to warrrant race tires. I saw people dominating lobbies with Civics and Miatas with race tires, but they were probably using engine swaps or something, because I tried purist race tires builds and they were way slower for me.

It always seems the same for me actually. Like 80% of the lobby can't drive for shit then there's a few half decent guys and maybe one or two fast guys in every lobby. Although I'll say the GT racing seems a little more evenly balanced and is usually cleaner racing
