When AL was first released, a lot of players are annoyed with Sandy due to how much of a bait she is. Constantly spooking in builds and despite being an SSR, she's quite garbage. Now, I could imagine her smug face laughing at us plebs and begging for her to save us in later chapters. What a savage. Well played Yostar, well played. I'm also excited since next video will be my favorite, the loli boats, erm~ I mean Destroyers. Hopefully I could watch it before FBI comes to me.

@@bauhiniafolia9673 her retrofit event will eventually rerun, just be patient. You can still do her retro too minus the modernization and she can still performs decently at that state given her stats increase.

Chapayev has two barrages. The icespikes are her all out assault. She fires a widespread fire barrage for her Main skill.

@@yansuki4240 I put her in an all russian fleet, she is either close second After Tashkent in overall damage or First, in case my Vanguard annihilates the enemy faster than Rossiya can shoot. Chapayev is awesome. I just wish for another NP Event to have a russian Hipper Class and a Third Backliner. Avrora helps Chapy and Tash a lot, but she has trash stats.

As a person who has the Chinese trio, they carry hard throughout the entire game and stay relevant even in chap 13, they have good AA and are godlike against the Sakura empire while being tanky monsters. Its recommended however to only have a duo of yat sen and a sister because their damage output is a weird in-between of not quite constant and yet not quite burst. So they should be sortied with a gunboat heavy cruiser like Portland to help.

ummmm so about Leander isn't she a support ship? she only has skills that buff ally dmg and a smokescreen i don't rly think it's fair to put her in the light cruiser category and not in the supp category she is a rly good ship to invest into especially if you are starting out that's my opinion tho and also i am very new to the game so i don't know much

I love my china wall. They make everything below world 13 very easy to get through. They deal so much damage to Sakura ships with there abilities and are very tanky from evasion. I pair them with Amagi since she buffs all ships or Bismarck with her ammo debuff reduction equipment for mob clearing. Sometimes give them a healer but haven't found it is needed. I would say don't go out of your way to get the trio since so many good ships are in the game now, but they definitely are worth the retrofit and continued usage.

If you're talking about W13, then I'd definitely go with Bremerton. She has amazing stats. However, to maximize her AA, you would want her in either the middle or back (right) position due to her skill buffs. If you're not talking about W13, then I'd still go with Bremerton. Putting her in the front (left) allows her to take less damage because of that same skill.

Personaly, Dido class cruisers are the most frustrating things to play in AL, mostly because they are bound to specific ships (or royal fleets entirely) and suffer from similiar lack of dps as Atlanta's including pre retro Sandy meaning no MGM+1. At least You can have monstrous damage in Your main fleet with them. Sirius's carrier buffs make ships like Formidable, Ark Royal or Centaur even more deadly, and when You bring Dido and QE into the mix, (maybe Helena too for boss) then hot damn xD P.S. Do not build boss fleets with carriers only, unless the boss (like current event EX, with bb required) literaly won't let You beat it without them.

Well, Dido almost requires you to Play Queen E. , Then you build the Rest around the two. If you have a British bias, Dido becomes an INSANE Damage Dealer, putting out more damage then any other British Vanguard ship, and even outshines Hood. Also, she could do wonders for Sirius, as one of her Selfbuffs says, "all Dido-Class " ships. Making Sirius viable, or atleast more viable in a good fleetcomposition.

Screw QE, she's not HMS core anymore. Go with 3 carriers, or use their BB (flagship Monarch/Hood/KGV) for sidelines go with Duke and Warspite or Centaur or KGV even Illustrious or Unicorn. QE is just a deadweight burden at this point..

I feel you, every ship and piece of equipment is different and simply experimenting and pondering over their numbers is often not enough if you want efficiency. I'd recommend you use the community discord, you can learn a lot there. just3c's channel also seems like a good source.

The good news is the games flexible enough you can almost set yourself up however you please. Pvp doesnt really matter much and by changing your fleets you can control how difficult your opponents are. Min/maxing fleets isnt really necessary at all until maybe late game and the same with fleet setups. Want to run 3 heavy cruisers and move at tortoise speed? Do it! Want to run 3 destroyers and feel like your in the fast and the furious movie? Do it! Plus there are several very solid youtubers who make helpfull guides on everything from individual ships. Entire events. Gear. Farming. The wiki is helpful as well.

ive used the chinese ships and i recycled them, honestly their dmg isnt that great, i had them all at lv115 and their skills maxed out and it was a huge pain just for the retrofits, do not recommend for a casual to a semi-active plays every other day and grinds events players. this of course was a good while back before Russian ships were even talked about. they could be better with Sovs buffs but still its a massive pain and cost to invest in retofitting. huge cost. pain in the ass. as for Phoenix, I use her constaly and shes pretty dope and holds her own pretty well, suprised she was not put in with T3 replacing Bel-chan. shes super well rounded for a blue ship and with a +10 repair and a +10 torp buldge shes pretty healthy too. super good for mob clearing and super easy to get and limit break and cheap to boot. also really good on oil cost as stated. shes a good tank for her being blue and i use her over Prinze just because of her ability to heal and keep going like the Phoenix she is.

Hmmm, San juan is pretty stronk too, sadly she is mostly forgotten. I would put her in T1 if she is used with other uss vanguards. I was surprised that her dps out put is identical to montpelier in w13, and she can survive just fine as well

I would love for there to be a pronunciation guide for these ships. Intrepid is pronounced "In-TREP-id," with emphasis on the middle syllable. Chapayev I would assume is pronounced "Shapah-Yev."

Got all three Chinese my first week. Ping hai is my only married ship, Ning hai level 70, and Yat Sen only at 50. Should I level them above my Cleve-bro and Javelin above 75?

The Chinese sisters are great but they’re annoyingly to try fitting into fleets. You’re basically forced to either run either Ning/Ping/Yat Sen trio or Ping/Yat or Ning/Yat. Each one is worthless by themselves so you have to run in some combination of the above, which can be a huge nuisance for your oil especially on 13-4. You can 3:1 mob world 13-4 so you’re not using Chinese sisters for that, only boss. But boss will kill them easy if they’re not high enough leveled so uh yeah.

The moment st. Louis got her Luxurious Wheels skin, I inmediatly married her, and seeing her in Tier 4 breaks my heart. However, I didn‘t marry her for her performance anyway...😏

Currently, I'm doing basically my version of a gear tier list called the "Azur Lane Equipment Guide". It's the yellow background one and it's my latest series that I'm working on. Using the Chinese wall together with soviet rossia, can't handle all these synergies, undying Frontline together with a boosted battleship with a really strong barrage, strongly recommend them especially if survival is an issue

I mean san diego as well as warspite are supposed to be very strong...buuut for a player that has the item. I have san diego, she's meh cuz I dont have the retro item, she's expensive for me to upgrade also. I run yuki, z23 and belfast with hood, enterprise and akagi atm, but Im looking for smt to switch it up (probably gonna switch main squad)

Dido's skills are pretty nice, even though they are only affecting ships of the Dido-class and Queen Elizabeth. She reinforces her own FP and AA up to 39%, RLD 24% and TRP 15% and with Queen Elizabeth in the fleet, another 15% is added up to FP, TRP, AA, RLD and EVA. I like to put her in a vanguard together with Newcastle/London and Belfast (and most likely Neptune, when she is ready).

A Winters Crown rerun is unlikely, since the event will be added to the War Archive after the next maintenance, but at the same time it should mean, that Sirius gets permanently added to the build pool. That makes it more difficult for us to get her, but fingers crossed. :D

Well, the holy trinity is my first investment in this game

I don't think you need all 3 Chinese ships, unless maybe if you are using the russian bb tbh. in w12 I used ning hai+yat sen+ either a damage dealer like saint Louis or yukikaze for the evasion and defensive buffs. the thing about the Chinese ships is that they are awesome at surviving but not very good at dealing damage. and now that ryuuhou exists you don't really need them tbh. the other good thing about them is that they are oil efficient so there's that. I would use them only if you really can't get past some stage because your vanguard keeps dying. also, if you are a beginner, in my opinion, phoenix is the best ship in all azur lane. you won't really rock her on w12-13, but outside of that, I use her A LOT. the best event farming ship alongside noshiro in my opinion. Some people say that you shouldn't limit break her for oil efficiency, but I don't really buy that. it's way better to be able to use her in higher difficulty maps than to save a few oil here and there. exp received on a level capped ship(70,80 or 90) is exp wasted. With the amount of exp you need to get to level 120, I think it's way worse to waste Exp than to waste oil.

@@ItsAnderYT another tip for people who plan on using the Chinese ships is that in theory yat sen is the frailest out of them, but in practice I always found their survivability to be not that different. so I would begin the fights with ning hai at the front and yat sen at the back, and if ning hai's hp dropped too low I would switch them around for the next fight, and keep doing it to even out the damage. (if you are using the 3 ships then just let yat sen at the middle but switch the loli sisters or just rotate all of them. they have all similar roles so their positioning doesn't really matter that much. it's much better to focus on keeping all of them alive)

When rng is out to get You, Yat-Sen won't help much with that, and in my opinion do not excuse putting her into the fleet, since there are so much better choices around. If It sounds dumb, consider me playing a lot of manual.

Well for me Jintsuu will be my priority since i have ayanami and yukikaze at max and oath them both. I use them for killing key ships. Plus i use nagato for extra buff for sakura ships.

I think the Achilles/Ajax/Leander Trio is underrated in that list. Leander has a cruiser FP buff, average damage and good evasion. Achilles and Ajax have superior FP, main gun coefficients and evasion, and self-damage buffs. For auto farming, the Leander trio should have both more dps and survivability than the fletcher or zombie fleets. And they don't cost much oil.

This list exclusively concerns chapter 13 where if a ship sucks at Anti-air, they're basically not that good regardless of how great they are in other criterias. Also, this list is made by one man, feel free to disagree.

you cannot finish her retrofit without her event item. you can retrofit up to the last 2 squares, but without the event item, you can't complete it. The last two retrofit squares are the most important as well, as this is where she gets all of her amazing DPS skills and her main gun +1. If you don't have the event item, she is not nearly as good, so I'd probably just wait for the event rerun which will be coming soon to start retrofitting your Sandy.

I don't agree with Phoenix on the bottom of Tier 3. She has so many good things about her for new/newer players, her rarity is the 2nd low meaning she would only use 300 - 800 - 1500 gold to retrofit, she is available on maps 4-1/4 and 5-1/4 and on build pool, she has really good survivability because of her skill, and she has consistent damage since she can equip CL/DD guns and Main Gun Mount +1 on 2nd LB.

I agree she's extremely good, and I'm making a new video currently that will talk about why she's amazing. Keep in mind this tier list is based off performance in the hardest available content (Chapter 13), so she isn't higher since she has lower base stats being blue rarity, and because taking ships with more DPS is much more favored in Chapter 13 since finishing the battle faster will save a ton of damage since those W13 planes will just keep coming in massive waves.

I don’t think The dragon empery trio would master enough DPS to beat world 14 even Bremerton and Yuudachi and Sirius are not quite enough planning to swap Sirius with Seattle for more shelling damage

Noshiro is more like Yukikaze 2 with her insane defensive skills.

Techincally means: Tier0 extremely usefull ships T1 good ships, kinda op paried with other ships T2 good ships with good skils, but dont have sinergies T3 Bad ship, Good skills T4 Good ship, Bad skills T5 and beyond Awful ships, with awful skills

I think this tier list is only focus on how to clear chapter 12 and 13, which is pretty good for beginners. Thus, dont apply this tier for other contents like pvp or challenge mode. There is no way Cleveland is better than Belfast in pvp or event stages that dont require A.A

Low survivability and she doesn't bring enough to the table. She only has her AA where other ships can bring something else to a fight than just Anti-air like Monty or Seattle or Sandy kai.

I don't understand why Chapayev is rated so high since theses tier lists take in consideration a ships performance in the current meta (W12-13), but Chapayev is just a Montpelier with sliiiightly better stats and he main focus is killing DDs which is very helpful early game, but not at all late game

I think since she's being compared to all the other Cleveland sisters that dominate T1, putting Chapayev in T0 is reasonable. She's already got the amazing stats of the best Cleveland sister with basically an exact replica of Montepelier's AA and AA efficiency. Now top it all off with a 100% chance to ignite main gun barrage + a second barrage that procs every 20 seconds for even more damage, she's a DPS monster that provides both incredible FP and AA.

@@ItsAnderYTBut I feel like her only redeeming feature is the barrage, anything else is useless late game (except the burn damage and crit rate boost) as well as not being as good of a AA ship compared to Montpelier, since she doesn't have the skill that buffs her AA by 40%, I know I sound harsh but that mostly comes from my hate for Russian bias

I mean, yes, Monty has better AA than Chappy, that is true, but who needs AA when you can simply kill the enemy fast enough before they can do damage?

@@rollsross8570 since Littorio is in T1, and Monarch is in T0 and since Rossiya is a worse Monarch but a better Littorio, I think she deserves last place in T0. Her long barrage means there is not much lost on DPS, she has a slow, a 15% buff in FP from Chinese and Russian ships and her stats are on the upper end of average.

when will people like this actually test every ship, i know a few people from the JP/CN testing community and there data would rip most of this tier list apart. the one thing that bugs me the most is how under valued lepzig is on this things, the testing community puts her in the top 5 Cl's and for good resewn. she provides high damage, massive utility and shes the only ship thats can bring aa and comptint torps into ch13 outside of quick kill starts.

i dont understand why belfst is in tier 2 while noshiro is in tier 0, belfast is better is almost all regards

my best guess to why Usagi-sensei (the tier list maker) did this is because Noshiro has a couple of strengths that make her better suited for the hardest content - Noshiro has 40 extra AA than Belfast, it helps take down the massive amount of planes in World 13 - Noshiro has global vanguard buffs that are guaranteed to be triggered at the start of battle, while Belfast has only a self-damage HE buff and only a 20% chance to proc her smokescreen - Noshiro's self evasion rate boost and vanguard torpedo DMG decrease provide GUARANTEED survivability buffs - Since the objective of the vanguards in W13 is to just survive and take out key targets such as the aircraft carriers, the extra TRP bonuses Noshiro brings with her 33 higher base TRP stat and skill are super useful Basically, I feel Noshiro is placed much higher due to the reliability of her skills, as well as the useful survivability and TRP bonuses she provides. Belfast may have an edge in most of the other stats, but where it matters in W13, Noshiro brings more AA, TRP, and survivability to the vanguards with her buffs and her higher 20% higher base torpedo and 10% base AA efficiency as well. Dang, this was a long analysis, hope that my reasoning can make a bit more sense for the placement difference between the two.

Reno has to be Graf Zappelin of Light Cruisers. I mean just Imagine being a BRAND NEW SR Ship and ending up in one of the weaker tiers right behind freaking Bel-chan. I seriously have no idea what was Manjuu smoking when they designed Reno to be the way she is.

i can only do Six Trillion on really really good days. ;( not pro enough I can do every other song though. (i mean i still can't fc Ringing Bloom but I can beat it)
