That's because according to the legend, Aztec gods offered their own blood to create people, these gods were Tezcatlipoca, Huizilopochtli, Tlaloc and the most known Quetzalcoatl, so if the gods bleed to create them and give them life, they should do it as well, of course it was a belief and life wasn't created like that at all, but that was how they thought. And if they didn't do that, the sun wouldn't rise anymore and the end would come soon according to their beliefs

Imagine standing in line waiting to have your heart ripped out. Your headless body would be rolling down the staircase in half an hour, just five more people to go ahead of you in the line. The gut wrenching scream of the current victim on the chopping table ringing in your ears as his chest gets torn apart and his still throbbing heart gets pulled out. You avoid looking at the gruesome scene and try calming yourself that it'll all be over soon. You realize that you've wet and soiled yourself in sheer terror. One after the other, the five people in front of you turn into five headless, heartless corpses. It's your turn now. You begin climbing the staircase, getting closer to the sacrificing board with every step you take. You're now lying flat on your back on the sacrificing board and watch the executor's shiny, pointy dagger rising up above your chest...

Especially when you know the context of the story of isaac and that the point that God did this was to prove that He WASN’T the same as the other gods because He actually cares about human life. It was also a foreshadow of Him sending Himself as sacrifice instead. He would rather suffer than have us suffer.

despite popular beliefs, it was not just the Spanish that beat the Aztecs. It was a union effort by nearly every tribe and neighboring tribe that either hated the Aztecs (for sacrificing their own, or fear of being conquered by them). THe Aztecs were able to rally up thousands of natives to join the Spanish and fight Aztecs . It was not just the Spanish trying to stop sacrificial Aztecs either. Quite afew angry tribes/groups also helped out, perhaps "bitter" about thier friends being sacrificed, to say the least .

What if all these rituals for the blood and body of Jesus and how we should eat it originated from his own killers? Have you seen all the images with his open heart?! It's so scary.

@@thecaynuck4694 It's true the Aztecs engaged in human sacrifice at industrious scales, but the same could be said of the Christians who burned tens of thousands of people at the stakes during the inquisition. Additionally Conquistadores actually tried to eradicate Aztec codices and any cultural artifacts; then they rewrote history, presenting the Aztecs as a "savage, uncultured" group of "Devil worshipers." The reality is the majority of Conquistadores were greedy, coveted gold, and committed genocide against the Aztecs and other indigenous groups-they weren't trying to just 'civilize' the Aztecs on account of their cruelty. While no one group is innocent, the conquistadores must always be remembered for their atrocities.
