Except for the most basic question if an international piece keeping force would be allowed to at least guarantee their safety. The answer is an obvious no from her answer and the local Armenians are at the mercy of the Azerbaijani government whom they do not trust. Has Azerbaijan been friendly to local Armenian communities in the past and if armenia didn’t suffer from a genocide and atrocities that killed more than 1.5 million Armenians from the Turks ( and Azeris are Turkic people) maybe the situation and prospects of reintegration would have been different. You can’t come and convince me that you did things right in the past and everything wrong came from the Armenians who have been living in their historical lands for centuries if not millennia. The reason why USSR gave autonomy for the Armenians was to prevent another genocide from Azeris and the reason armenia invaded in 1990s was to protect local Armenians safety in nagorno karapakh. Obviously, if you were able to protect their safety in the past century none of this would have happened. So ask the question for yourself and no need for a retaliatory response. I hope Azerbaijan has become wiser as a nation despite the fact that you are still governed by an authoritarian dictator. Hope you transform into a democracy and a more inclusive and accepting society.

The ambassador of Azerbaijan in France is not correct. If you ask the ambassador about the 80-year-old man whose ears and head were cut off, not counting the children and women. Or to shoot down the car of Russian peacekeepers and then beg for forgiveness from their government, which is an ally of Armenia.

The Armenians were indigenous to Karabakh, so the "armed separatist" label is a bogus one. More correctly, the comparison should be made to native American tribes being forced off their ancestral lands while putting up a fight to keep their lands, their culture, their religion, and their language. It's a fight for survival, not conquest. Conquest is the Azeri/Turkish modus operandi.

@@vha111 Those Armenians were indigenous to Azerbaijan. Nagorno-Karababkh is recognized (internationally) as part of Azerbaijan. The Soviets could've incorporated the NKAO into the Armenian SSR but chose not to. So, yes. They ARE an "armed separatist" movement within the legal borders of Azerbaijan. I'm not saying it's fair, but at this point, it's legal for Azerbaijan to destroy their military capability. However, I don't blame the Armenians for leaving. I wouldn't trust the Turks (Azerbaijan) either, considering their history.

@@UglyAmerican0374 Check your Soviet history. Karabakh and Nakhichevan were part of Soviet Armenia when Armenia was forcibly joined to the Soviet Union. That was until Stalin decided to award them to his buddies in Azerbaijan. And under the Soviet constitution Karabakh was an autonomous oblast and had the right to secede from the Soviet Union, which it did BEFORE Azerbaijan declared independence. So, Karabakh NEVER belonged to independent Azerbaijan and Aliyev and the world are wrong and the Armenians are right. And yes, the Turks and Azeris have shown they cannot be trusted with Armenian lives, historical monuments, churches, monasteries, graveyards, or anything that reminds them of who was in that land first.

Amernian can always move to France and cut a little corner of France to say their own.

Ethnic cleansing term is used to describe to force or extermination of a particular group from an area, however Azerbaijan is offering to indenigious Armenians in the Karabakh region reassurances that they can live alongside Azerbaijanis peacefully under Azerbaijan sovereignty. If some armenians are rejecting that proposal and prefer to return to Armenia, what can we suppose to do? This is neither ethnic cleansing nor genocide. We have to manage dialougue between local Armenian people and Republic of Azerbaijan. Please lets be realistic, everything she said was true. Armenia never wanted to sort Karabag problem peacefully. They thought Russia and wjole world will help them , nobody did. In 1991 Armenia-with the help of Russians- invaded Azerbaijan and 1 million Azeri people became refugee, no other countries took notice of that/ They occupied Azerbaijani territory for 30 years, so many wrong doing they did, they cut pregnant women belly and took babes out live and killed them, heartless, I got proof for those if you wish to see them.
