"Fathers strive for their children and live for the promises they've made to them."So I watched this movie a few days ago after coming across the story of these two on Tik Tok. Who knew this app could be useful for once?Anyway, their story made me insanely emotional and I end up in tears every single time I think about them. And I've been thinking about them a lot.They should have never been separated. Never.I recommend you to watch the movie too and search for their story.Way too many people suffer a similar story. Some of the soldiers and children never found each other again after the Korean war ended.

I am Turkish and I cry every time I watch this movie. My father was very cruel, he used to crush insects and even people. Süleyman is a merciful father. I wish everyone had a father like Süleyman. The meaning of Ayla is very beautiful in Turkish.I am crying

@SUP and it's very sweet that he never stopped loving her even after all that time and after he built his own family. He probably thought of Ayla as being his first-born.

Everytime i see clip /videos about ayla, i always watched and ended up crying again and again. I watched the documentary and the movie, so sad and heartbreaking. But i was happy at the same time coz of their reunited after long years.

Aylamız....Şimdi çocukları olmuş,büyümüş kocaman bir kadın olmuş......Ekonomik sıkıntılar çekmiş,elalemin hizmetçisi olmuş.....Süleyman baba,keşke Aylayı Türkiye ye getirebilseydi de, Ayla bu kadar acı çekerek büyümeseydi.....

I don't think my eyes can take any more of this. 😭😭😭 I just watched the documentary AND the movie AND this video all in one day. I didn't think I was capable of crying this much but I totally am. Thank you for this beautiful video about Ayla and Suleyman! I'm very thankful and glad that they were able to reunite after all those years and to see their story touched my heart irrevocably. ❤

Suleyman had a big heart. He was often teased by his fellow soldiers for being a softie and some thought that would be a hindrance to him in the war. But if he had been cold as soldiers are expected to be, Ayla wouldn't have survived the war.

I'm guessing Mr. Suleyman must have been a higher ranking officer in his unit because taking care of a child isn't normally something an ordinary soldier would be permitted to do.
